Vimlesh B.Lal is a noted art director ,Set Designer and production designer of Indian cinema, known for his work in The Legend of Ram: Prince of India (created a world record for having the largest ever stage area) and "Sare Janha Se Achacha" (was was reported in about 18 different countries). He has worked in films like Hum Aapke Hain Koun.., Terkieb, Mumbai 125 KM, Gupt, Mohra, Damini, Barsat, Khaknayak, Judai, Dhadkan, Kachche Dhage, Mushkura kar dekh zara, Prem, Roop Ki Rani choron Ka Raja, Dosti (Friends forever), etc. and Asia Premieres of Ice age-3, Superman Returns and Despicable Me.
He has worked in ad films and music videos extensively as well.
He has been honored by awards including those by the Prime Minister of India and Hon'ble President of India, Gold Medal by Banaras Hindu University & National University association, New Delhi. He also has a Nomination for Best Art Director, Zee Cine Awards. He is impaneled by Prasar Bharti, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India. He has designed the set of A.R. Rahman's World Tour set "I Believe" Mumbai Concert, "Heat"- World Tour ( Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan),and Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai's - World tour. He is a Fine Artist, Interior designer, freelance painter and theatre worker.
