Lange hatte man darauf gewartet, was das erste deutsche Projekt bei Apple TV+ werden würde. Vor einem Jahr wurde schließlich bekanntgegeben, dass „Where’s Wanda?“ das Rennen gemacht hätte. Produziert von UFA Fiction, ist die achtteilige Serie ein abgründiger Mix aus Thriller, Drama und Comedy über ein Ehepaar in einer Kleinstadt in der deutschen Provinz, das sich nicht mit dem spurlosen Verschwinden der 17-jährigen Tochter abfinden will. In den Hauptrollen spielen Heike Makatsch, Axel Stein, Leo Simon und Lea Drinda, dazu gibt es zahlreiche Gastauftritte der deutschen Darsteller-Elite.
