Netflix apparently enjoys being in business with Pablo Escobar. The streaming giant has renewed Narcos, its latest drama series, which focuses on the drug kingpin and the Medellin Cartel, for a second season. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to break the news. Narcos debuted its 10-episode first season last Friday, Aug. 28. The series stars Wagner Moura as Pablo Escobar, Maurice Compte as Horatio Carrillo, Boyd Holbrook as Steve Murphy, Pedro Pascal as Javier Peña, Joanna Christie as Connie Murphy, Roberto Urbina as Fabio, Ana de la Reguera as Elisa, Danielle Kennedy as Ambassador Noonan, and Stephanie Sigman as Valeria Velez. For Narcos Season 2, Adam Fierro (The Shield) will take over as showrunner for Chris Brancato (Hannibal).
