Jordan worked steadily in Chicago theatre productions such as The Diviners at Stage Left Theatre, Jelly Belly at Victory Gardens, Serious Money at Court Theatre, and To Be Young Gifted And Black at Pegasus Players.
He developed his on-camera chops on local television shows such as Lady Blue with Danny Aiello, America's Most Wanted, and The Father Clements Story playing opposite Louis Gossett Jr. His early film credits include Big Shots with Paul Winfield, Chains, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead with Christina Applegate, and A Few Good Men opposite Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise.
Early LA TV credits include guest-starring roles on China Beach, Thirtysomething, Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Young & The Restless, Days Of Our Lives, and scenes with George Clooney on both Bodies Of Evidence and ER as a recurring character. Film credits include I Love Trouble with Julia Roberts, Life with Eddie Murphy, and Younger And Younger starring Donald Sutherland and Brendan Fraser.
Jordan is also a professional guitarist, music educator, and composer with two critically acclaimed albums to his credit: Mister Bad Luck and Eclectic Soul. He composed original music for the short film Pam written and directed by Kathleen Cecchin, and is a music journalist, music critic, and interviewer for Vintage Guitar Magazine.
Jordan is also a trained voiceover actor and martial artist heavily schooled in the disciplines of JKD, Pencak Silat, and Kali. He has performed elaborate fights on screen and has directed on-camera fight choreography. He was awarded a scholarship to the American Film Institute's screenwriting program for his original screenplay, and has appeared in dozens of commercials for McDonalds, Hyundai, Citibank, Verizon, Volvo, Healthy Choice, Budweiser, and 1-800-Collect with Phil Hartman and Chris Rock.
He portrayed real-life German movie star Gunther Kaufman on the series True Nightmares, Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray on Hollywood 911, and can be seen as Jay the troubled but compassionate assistant football coach in the short film Gifts Of My Kin. Oscar Jordan is a life-long student of acting, film, martial arts, guitar, writing, and self-realization.
