The lineup of Carter and classic Pistols members Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook will play five gigs in September, including stops in Nottingham (September 20th); Birmingham (September 21st), Glasgow (September 22nd), Manchester (September 24th), and a previously announced concert at London’s 02 Forum Kentish Town (September 26th).
Tickets for select shows are already on sale, while the others go on sale Friday (August 23rd) at 9 a.m. local time.
Sex Pistols and Carter played their first show together on August 13th at Bush Hall, as part of a three-night stand to benefit the historic venue. The evening saw them ripping through every song on the Pistols’ lone studio album, Never Mind the Bollocks, as well as a few other tunes.

Sex Pistols played the first of three reunion shows at West London’s Bush Hall on Tuesday night (August 13th), featuring classic members Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook performing with singer Frank Carter in place of Johnny Rotten. The revamped Pistols lineup also announced a fourth London show set for September 26th at the O2 Forum Kentish Town.
Two of the concerts at Bush Hall were announced back in early June as benefit shows to help keep the historic Shepherd’s Bush venue in business. A third show (August 15th) was added after the first two (August 13th and 14th) quickly sold out, but tickets are available via Viagogo.
As promised, the Pistols and Carter played the entire Never Mind the Bollocks album in full, albeit not in sequential order, ripping through classics like “Holidays in the Sun,” “Bodies,” and the set-closer “Anarchy in the U.K.”

Sex Pistols members Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook will reunite for a pair of benefit shows in August, fronted by singer Frank Carter. Each evening will see the foursome playing the Pistols’ iconic album Never Mind the Bollocks in its entirety.
The concerts will take place August 13th and 14th at West London’s Bush Hall, with the proceeds benefitting the historic rock venue. Tickets for the two shows go on sale via Ticketmaster UK on Wednesday (June 5th) at 9 a.m. local time.
Jones, Matlock, and Cook make up the classic Sex Pistols lineup, minus singer Johnny Rotten (aka John Lydon), who will not be participating. With his red hair and dynamic stage presence, British punk rocker Carter should make a fine fill-in for Rotten, as he’s proven via his sensational live shows with his band Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and before that as frontman of Gallows.

A new restoration of the 1959 horror film on Blu-ray and DVD, and making its UK digital debut, Horrors Of The Black Museum, starring Michael Gough and directed by Arthur Crabtree (Fiend Without a Face), marked the first film in the “Sadian Trilogy”, followed by the Hammer favourite Circus of Horrors and Michael Powell’s infamous Peeping Tom – introducing cinema audiences to a more shocking and salacious brand of onscreen horror.
A series of grisly, macabre murders sweep London and leave Scotland Yard completely baffled. Bancroft, an evil crime journalist, is hypnotising his assistant to commit murders using items curated in his own personal “Black Museum” – inspired by the infamous real-life collection of weapons and torture instruments used by criminals. Using these murders to fuel his own crime stories, Bancroft delights in the Yard’s embarrassment.

The new animated film premiering on Netflix starts exactly the way you’d think a fairy tale should. The first words we hear, after all, are, “A long, long time ago, a kingdom lived in peace.”
But don’t be fooled. Nimona, based on Nd Stevenson’s acclaimed graphic novel, is about as far from an ordinary fairy tale as animated films get. Cheekily irreverent and hilariously subversive, it’s a consistent delight.
After that lulling introduction, the action shifts forward one thousand years, with the story set in a futuristic medieval kingdom that boasts skyscrapers along with its ancient fortresses. The story begins with a cheesy news broadcast hosted by two over-enthusiastic anchors (Indya Moore, RuPaul) covering the kingdom’s “Night to Knight Knights,” a reality show-style competition. Among the competitors is the insecure, one-armed Ballister Boldheart (Riz Ahmed), who’s encouraged in his efforts by his boyfriend and fellow knight-in-training,...

Alex Jones has looked back at one of The One Show’s most memorable interviews involving former cohost Matt Baker and the then-Prime Minister, David Cameron.
Jones, who has been a main presenter on the BBC One evening magazine show since 2010, has been present for some of the programme’s landmark moments.
During an appearance on the Off Menu podcast this week, Jones was asked about The One Show’s 2011 live interview with Cameron.
Towards the end of the segment, Baker had a quick additional question for the Conservative politician: “How do you sleep at night?”
Viewers were surprised and entertained at the hard-line implication of the presenter’s query, as it clashed with the usual lightness of the programme.
“I’ve always managed to sleep okay,” Cameron replied. “If you work hard during the day and get your stuff done, try and put it behind you. At the end of the day,...

Sex/Life has been cancelled by Netflix days after the show’s star Sarah Shahi criticised the “gimmicky” second season.
Following the viral success of season one in 2021, Netflix’s erotic thriller returned for a second season in March. Shahi returned as series lead Billie Connelly, while Mike Vogel and Adam Demos (Shahi’s real-life partner) came back as the two men she is in a love triangle with.
However, in a recent interview, Shahi claimed that she was not happy with the second season of the drama and had not received the same levels of “support”.
“I mean, I’m never gonna work for Netflix again now after saying all this, but I can’t lie,” she said.
On Friday (7 April), a Netflix spokesperson confirmed that Sex/Life had been cancelled after two seasons, having come to a natural close after season two.

Rylan Clark has said that he can count his celebrity friends “on one hand”.
Appearing on Joe Lycett’s live Channel 4 show Late Night Lycett on Friday (7 April), Clark was asked by comedian Lycett to name his famous friends.
Admitting that he could “count them on one hand”, Clark listed Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, as well as Claire Richards from Steps.
“They’re my little nook,” he said.
Lycett responded by joking that his celebrity fans could be counted on 10 fingers, one for each of the 10 members of the band Blazin’ Squad. To demonstrate this, he held up a prop hand with five extra fingers stuck onto the palm.
Clark has been vocal in the past about his love of Langsford and Holmes, who he worked with on This Morning.

Netflix’s latest series is already making waves with viewers, achieving a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Arriving on the streaming website on Wednesday (6 April), Beef is a dark comedy produced by A24. It stars Minari actor Steven Yeun and comedian Ali Wong as two strangers who get into a road-rage accident.
On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, Beef has a 99 per cent score at the time of writing on the critic-supported Tomatometer, as well as a 96 per cent score based on audience reviews.
Critics have praised both the show’s writing and performances (by Yeun and Wong), suggesting Beef is a shoo-in for this year’s Emmy Awards.
Writing for Salon, Melanie McFarland said: “One day in the future academics may view Beef as a convincing TV distillation of the early 21st-century’s collective mood, a lingering and worsening state of society-wide pandemic anger.

Zendaya might “love” boyfriend Tom Holland’s British accent, but the Euphoria star draws the line when it comes to Cockney rhyming slang.
The couple were first rumoured to be dating in 2016 after starring opposite each other in the film Spider-Man: Homecoming. Their relationship was confirmed in 2021 after they were pictured kissing in a car.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, former Disney Channel star Zendaya, 26, admitted that she sometimes struggled with London-born Holland’s use of rhyming slang.
“I love the British accent, but as much as Tom tries to explain it to me, I will never understand rhyming slang,” she said.
“Like I understand the concept, but what do apples and pears have to do with stairs?”
Zendaya added: “It’s cute when he tells me all the different phrases, but I really don’t get it!”
Despite their high profiles, Holland and Zendaya have largely chosen to keep their relationship private.

The One Show host Alex Jones has claimed her ex Steve Jones once lied to stop her from interviewing Angelina Jolie.
Alex, who dated fellow TV presenter Steve from 1999 to 2002, recorded an appearance on Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, in which she revealed the lengths her former partner went to prevent her from getting the interview gig – a betrayal that led to their break-up.
At the time, Alex was working as an entertanment correspondent for the Channel 4 series Rise.
The Welsh presenter said the opportunity to interview the Mr and Mrs Smith actor arose, but Steve told her bosses that she was sick when she was actually just out at the shops.
“Normally, they would call in the morning and ask to come and do an interview or a junket,” MailOnline reports Alex as explaining on a forthcoming episode of the podcast.

Tina Turner has admitted that she’s long had a soft spot for Mick Jagger.
Turner collaborated with the Rolling Stones frontman many times over the years, supporting the band on tour and performing with Jagger at festivals.
In a new interview with The Guardian, Turner was asked who her celebrity crush was.
“I always had a crush on Mick Jagger,” Turner responded. “I loved when we toured with the Rolling Stones.”
Early in her career, Turner and then-husband Ike (performing as Ike and Tina Turner) opened for the Stones on their 1966 British tour. They supported the band again on their US tour in 1969.
In 1981, Turner opened for the band on her own and, following her comeback in 1985, she performed with Jagger at the Live Aid Festival in Philadelphia.
During the Live Aid Festival performance, Jagger famously decided to rip off Turner’s skirt on stage.

Gogglebox viewers were left shocked after a debate about Waitrose between Giles and Mary descended into a sweary rant.
During Friday (7 April) night’s episode of the show, the Wiltshire-based married couple tuned into Netflix’s new series Beef.
Giles commented that one of the characters looked like the sort of person who would complain in Waitrose, saying: “He’d be sent to that problem desk, Mary, which I always avoid. Somewhere in the middle of Waitrose where there’s always people queuing and tutting. Do you remember that place? Where they express dissatisfaction.”
However, Mary shot back at him: “Oh, you’re just such a b******. Waitrose is beautifully run, there’s never a queue of people tutting.”
Shocked by her impassioned defence, Giles jokingly asked his wife if she worked for Waitrose.
“Do you work for Waitrose, Mary? I think you’re on a retainer,” he said, with her replying: “No,...

“The estate where I was raised, most of the fathers had court orders not to come near the house.”
Guru-Murthy asked the actor if he remembered being “afraid of men” as a young boy.

Joe Lycett took aim at Rupert Murdoch during his opening monologue on Late Night Lycett.
Reports broke earlier this week that the billionaire media mogul and Ann Lesley Smith had called off their engagement just two weeks after announcing their plans to marry.
Hosting his new Channel 4 live show on Friday (7 April), Lycett told the live studio audience: “Rupert Murdoch’s had a big week, he’s broken off his engagement.
“People say she was only after his money but I think that’s unfair, she may have just really been turned on by a flaccid, yellow, 92-year-old c***.”
After the audience reacted with shocked laughs at the explicit joke, Lycett responded: “What? What’s he gonna do to me?”
After a pause, he predicted: “F***ing everything”.
Murdoch, who has been married four times previously, announced his engagement to the former dental hygienist, 66, last month.

Renfield makeup artist Christien Tinsley has revealed the extreme lengths Nicolas Cage went to, to play Dracula.
In the new movie by director Chris McKay, Cage plays the vampire, while Nicholas Hoult portrays the title character, Dracula’s long-suffering assistant and henchman.
In an interview with Variety, Tinsley revealed they used 3D printing to craft Dracula’s famous fangs.
“This was the first film that I know of where we used 3D printing to do all the dentures,” Tinsley said. “We jumped in headfirst with 3D printing. We would scan Nic’s teeth and digitally sculpt them.”
Once the fake teeth were made, “We shaved Nic’s teeth down and the dentures were fitted so as not to impede on Nic’s speech and allow full freedom,” he said.
“Nic wanted to emote and annunciate properly, so it was important the veneers were thin.”

Melanie Lynskey has been Barbie-fied and she’s fully in support of it.
Since Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie recently released new character posters for its entire cast, fans have tried their hand at recreating their own iterations.

The Mandalorian showrunner has defended the Star Wars series after fan backlash.
In March, the Star Wars spin-off returned for a third season, but fans of the show have been vocal in their opinions that the series has experienced a dip in quality.
It’s been strongly argued by critics, as well as viewers on social media, that the series’s first two seasons were much stronger, with each instalment of the latest run proving divisive by sidelining the main plot in favour of welcoming an array of guest stars.
For example, the latest episode featured Jack Black, Christopher Lloyd and music star Lizzo.
Speaking at the first day of Star Wars Celebration in London on Friday (7 April), Dave Filoni spoke about whose story the show is trying to tell, seemingly hinting at the frosty criticism thrown at the series in recent weeks.
