With the expanding universe of The Big Bang Theory, fans have been buzzing with excitement with a new spin-off in the works. Among the most intriguing ideas circulating is one that centers around Raj Koothrappali, a character whose journey in the original series left many wanting more.

One of the highlights surrounding the character was the occasional and hilarious appearances of his parents. With the growing discussions surrounding a Raj-centric spin-off, the undeniable charm and depth of his parents, make a compelling case for why this could be a great direction for the next chapter of the show’s legacy.
Raj’s Parents Make Him a Perfect Candidate for The Big Bang Theory Spin-off
One compelling reason Kunal Nayyar’s character, Rajesh Koothrappali, is a top contender for a spin-off series is the unresolved nature of his storyline by the end of The Big Bang Theory.

[This interview contains major spoilers for Merry Little Batman.]
DC Studios’ Merry Little Batman sees Bruce Wayne in an unusual turn: donning his dad hat during the holidays.
The Warner Bros. Animation film follows the relationship of Bruce and his son, Damian, an 8-year-old desperate to be just like his crime-fighting father. The only problem — beyond him being a literal child — is that crime no longer exists in Gotham. Batman decided to clean up the streets for good to give Damian a shot at the safe, crime-free childhood Bruce didn’t have.
But when his overprotective father is called to save the day in Nova Scotia on Christmas Eve and becomes stranded in a trap laid by Mr. Freeze, Damian is left home alone with no one to help him as two criminals break in. The hapless burglars manage to make off with his newly gifted utility belt, leading Damian on a chase through Gotham’s...

Fatherhood apparently has a way of slowing you down. Take Batman, for instance. He’s clearly not at his fittest in this new Amazon Prime animated film, in which he looks more like a burly lumberjack than a superhero, wearing dad jeans, a flannel shirt and a heavy beard. Fortunately, he’s not the hero tasked with saving Gotham City yet again in the Yuletide-set Merry Little Batman. That would be Damian, his eight-year-old son, who clearly takes after his old man when it comes to fighting supervillains.
Damian (voiced by Yonas Kibreab) displays the typical energy of a pre-adolescent, chasing his cat around the expansive confines of Wayne Manor as if they were in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. His father Bruce (Luke Wilson) is essentially retired, having gotten rid of all crime in Gotham City. But he’s still on call, meaning that when he gets a message...

An official YouTube channel dedicated to the classic sitcom The Munsters and the franchise it spawned was launched three years ago, and as the years have gone by a whole lot of clips from the 1964 – 1966 show have been added to that channel. But now Universal has decided to go ahead and share a couple full movies on there as well: The Munsters’ Revenge from 1981 and Here Come the Munsters from 1995. Not only can both of those movies be viewed on the The Munsters channel, but they’re both embedded at the bottom of this article as well!
Directed by Don Weis from a script by Arthur Alsberg and Don Nelson, The Munsters’ Revenge reunites original sitcom stars Fred Gwynne, Yvonne De Carlo, and Al Lewis. The movie shows us what happens when Mad Dr. Diablo sends robot doubles of Herman and Grandpa Munster to steal art.

"You're not just fighting for yourself anymore..." "You're fighting for all of us 'unmatchables.'" Vertical has debuted a new trailer for an indie romantic comedy titled Match Me If You Can, which was first released in theaters back in August and is now available on VOD. Kip Parsons is a computer nerd who declares war on online dating services when she's rejected by one as "unmatchable." When she writes a blog about her experience, it goes viral and everyone comes to her support, except for the dating website which tries to sue her. What a wacky comedy concept! Georgina Reilly stars as Kip, with Wilson Bethel, Brian George, Billy Armstrong, Veronica Wylie, Chaz Clark, and Kanwar Singh. Though I'm sure there's nothing new in here, this does look cute & fun, a casual watch if you're looking for something amusing. View below. // Continue Reading ›...

With a tentative Directors Guild of America deal in hand and the Writers Guild of America on strike, SAG-AFTRA has been thrust into a bigger role than the performer’s union has played in years in the industry’s triennial labor contract negotiations.
SAG-AFTRA gets its turn at the bargaining table this week, with an agenda that seeks to address the many ways that technology is changing the profession of acting.
Two of the union’s top concerns — streaming residuals and artificial intelligence — are also key issues for the WGA and DGA. The performers’ guild is also uniquely focused on putting limits on “self-taped” auditions, which have become ubiquitous since the beginning of the pandemic.
To maximize its leverage, SAG-AFTRA has already called for a strike authorization vote. With ballots due at 5 p.m. on Monday, the union will have the authorization in hand when it begins talks with the...

The latest Warner Animated DC feature film adapts the 2000-2001 Elseworlds miniseries Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham. The fun of the Elseworlds comics, and soon the live-action versions under the new artistic regime, is taking the familiar and imagining them in other times and other places. Here, we do back to the early 20th century and overlay it with a dose of Loftcraftian horror.
Cowritten by Mike Mignola and Richard Pace, two men better known for their artistic skills, this story was designed for visual impact, something Troy Nixey did well in print, and the animators from Jase Ricci’s script and co-directed by Sam Liu and Christopher Berkeley, replicate nicely.
Basically, an arctic expedition headed by Bruce Wayne (David Giuntoli), sent to check on a previous team led by Professor Oswald Cobblepot (William Salyers) reveals horrors and a missing professor. The only surviving is Grendon (David Dastmalchian...

Something I’m enjoying seeing lately is animation catching up to the comic book realm when it comes to crossovers. In most instances, we’ve been forced to rely on the latter because it’s really been the only medium to get around red tape separating various franchises. But thanks to some of the top publishers out there, Batman has fought the Predator, Archie has had to survive a Sharknado, and the Ghostbusters will soon meet up with the Transformers.
Now, because of Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the acclaimed miniseries written by James Tynion IV and illustrated by Freddie Williams II has been adapted to film. Actually, before either version came along, the only way for these pop culture icons to cross paths was in our imaginations – and maybe sometimes with the help of action figures. Odds are that my six-year-old self probably concocted such a mashup back in the day.
But if I’m to be completely honest here, there’s a big difference in how I favor each part in this equation. While my affinity for Batman is well-documented, my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fandom didn’t follow me into adulthood. Regardless, I really dug the aforementioned comic on which the flick we’re here to discuss is based, so I went into my viewing experience rather excited.
Oddly enough, I wound up walking away with a different sentiment toward DC’s latest home video release. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate what it accomplished and don’t think it’s a bad movie by any means – it’s just that this seems like an instance when something worked better on the printed page.
Believe me, even though these concepts have some overlap on the Venn diagram, Batman and Tmnt are very different from one another when you get down to it. In fact, the simple idea that they originate from different universes was thrown out the window in the movie, as the Turtles and their foes take a road trip of sorts to Gotham City.

While they may not have that comfy-blankie feel of a returning favorite, they do bring fresh faces, and sometimes fresh perspective, to those viewers who just want a good laugh. In recent seasons, NBC has had some solid success with shows like The Good Place and Superstore, but others, like Champions failed to score even a second season. Enter the I Feel Bad TV show. With its snicker-at-ourselves sensibility, will this new series find an audience ready to laugh in empathy? Will I Feel Bad be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. **Status update below.

It seems that Emet's time to figure out her life is up. NBC has cancelled the I Feel Bad TV show after one season of 13 episodes. There won't be a second season for the comedy series.
Based on a book by Orli Auslander, I Feel Bad stars Sarayu Blue, Paul Adelstein, Madhur Jaffrey, Brian George, James Buckley, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, and Aisling Bea. The sitcom centers on Emet Kamala-Sweetzer (Blue), the head artist at a video game company and a married mother of three. Although Emet feels pressure to be perfect at everything in her life, like the rest of us, she’s just muddling through. It’s one and done for NBC’s I Feel Bad: The Amy Poehler-Ep’d comedy has been cancelled after just 13 episodes, TVLine has confirmed.
The writing had been on the wall for quite some time. Not only did I Feel Bad fail to secure a back order, but its final two episodes were burned off the week between Christmas and New Year’s. Meanwhile, series star Sarayu Blue signed on to co-star opposite Jennifer Morrison in the CBS medical drama pilot Under the Bridge back in March.
Averaging a measly 0.56 demo rating, the series ranked third-to-last among all NBC sitcoms this season,...

“I Feel Bad” has been canceled at NBC.
The family comedy centered on Sarayu Blue’s Emet, the “perfect mom, boss, wife, friend and daughter” who was not really perfect but in fact actually just figuring things out. She felt bad when she had a sexy dream about someone other than her husband, or when she pretended not to know her kids when they misbehave in public, or when she used her staff to help solve personal problems. The first season focused on her balancing her home and work life, often finding them intersecting.
The show starred Blue, Paul Adelstein, Madhur Jaffrey, Brian George, James Buckley, Zach Cherry and Johnny Pemberton and came from writer and executive producer Aseem Batra. Amy Poehler, Dave Becky and Josh Maurer also executive produced. “I Feel Bad” was produced by Universal Television, Paper Kite Productions, CannyLads Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a new clip from DC’s upcoming animated film Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The clip happens to be the opening scene of the movie and it focuses on the Ninja Turtles as they descend on Gotham City. As you might imagine, Batman is not happy upon hearing about these “lizard men” from Batgirl.
This clip features the Foot Clan descending “upon Powers Industrial, where Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl (voiced by Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's producer/star Rachel Bloom) is getting a first-hand look at an extremely powerful generator.”
Here’s the synopsis for the film:
It’ll take the unlikely unification of the Dark Knight and the Heroes in a Half-shell to overcome the combined villainous forces afoot in Gotham City in the all-new, feature-length animated thriller.

The first trailer for Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has arrived, along with the reveal of it’s stacked voice cast as well as the film’s eventual home video release. Based on the six part comic crossover of the same name, the recently confirmed animated film looks to be a pretty close adaptation of it’s source material. There’s some pretty awesome moments in the trailer, so hopefully the final film will live up to the promise that this first look provides.
The all-star cast of Batman vs. Tmnt is led by Troy Baker as the voice of both Batman and the Joker – making Baker the first actor to ever play both roles in the same film. “Here’s what every woman knows,” Sarayu Blue says in a voice-over kicking off her new sitcom “I Feel Bad.” “We feel bad about something almost every day.” The show, airing a preview episode Sept. 19 before settling into a Thursday-night timeslot, sets its tone early—it differentiates Blue’s Emet from other sitcom moms by her vulnerable honesty, her willingness to admit that not only is she not omnicompetent, she’s perpetually annoyed with herself for not being so.
The challenges Blue faces don’t go beyond traditional sitcom fare—meddling parents, kids developing minds of their own, balancing marriage and work—all of which it handles with élan and wit. Where the show loses its footing is in its depiction of Blue’s co-workers, video game designers whose outright misogyny the show makes the strange decision to play as comedy.
