Brian Forrest was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a dual
citizen: American/Canadian. He attended the University of British
Columbia to study theatre, film, and radio.
Soon after, he began working as a radio announcer for Vancouver and Seattle radio stations. While on a visit to Los Angeles, he was selected to join the Columbia Pictures Talent Program where he received training as an actor and director. He graduated the program in the winter of 1978. Since then, he has studied with MGM acting coach Vincent Chase, Broadway Casting Director Michael Shurtleff, and worked as an actor in network television shows: Days Of Our Lives, Bold & Beautiful, independent film productions: The Cheshire Cat, American Tigers, and Almost Hollywood, as a anchor/reporter for a PM magazine and commercials. He has worked as an actor and director for dozens of full length plays in Los Angeles theatres. His creative writing skills have been used in independent film and theatre productions.
