- Rudolf Essek was born on March 4, 1885 in Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany. He was an actor, known for Mädchenjahre einer Königin (1936), Die Wittenberger Nachtigall (1913) and Die Einödpfarre (1915). He died on January 11, 1941 in Berlin, Germany.

- His film appearances were seldom in the next years. To his other silent movies belong "Fluch der Schönheit" (1915) and "Die Rache der Banditen" (1919). After that he concentrated again exclusively to the theater and only appeared in front of the camera from the 30's again where he impersonated many easily remembered support roles in popular movies.
- The actor Rudolf Essek was already successful as a theater actor when he made his film debut in 1913 with "Die Wittenberger Nachtigall" (1913). In this movie he impersonated the role of Martin Luther.
