Melinda Deines

Deines was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised on Vancouver Island,
British Columbia, where from a very young age, she and her childhood
troupe wrote and performed plays at local community events. Deines
aggressively pursued her acting passion by moving to Toronto, where she
attended and graduated from the Ryerson Theatre School. Deines has
appeared in numerous television series, such as
Real Kids, Real Adventures (1997),
F/X: The Series (1996),
The Rez (1996),
Fast Track (1997),
Wind at My Back (1996) and
Nancy Drew (1995). She also
appeared in the television movie,
The Return of Alex Kelly (1999).
Her theatre credits include from the Stratford Festival Theatre, "A
Midsummer Night's Dream", "Pride and Prejudice", "The Prime Of Miss
Jean Brodie", "The Night of the Iguana" and "Seaside Dive" at the Glen
Morris Studio. Deines has a diverse range of interests including rock
climbing, learning to speak Spanish and writing poetry. She currently
resides in Toronto.
