During the final mix of "Smokey and the Bandit" the composer/actor Jerry Reed called me from Nashville to say "Make the most out of the music." I said "Of course Jerry!" I never got to meet him in person, but the mix with first time director Hal Needham was a sensational experience. He told so many stories.
