Looking ahead to 2025, here are the 45 films of all genres – from horror to comedy to drama and more – we reckon you really shouldn’t miss.

Special mentions:

Firstly, the movies you won’t be seeing, but want to namecheck. Our rules were that we didn’t want to include films that had screened, but not made it to the UK yet (with the exception of British films). Hence – sorry Kevin – the next Horizon film isn’t on the list. There’s stuff we’re watching for release dates too: Above The Below, Mother’s Pride, All Of You, and such like. We acknowledge too that there’s a Michael Jackson biopic that you won’t find below. Plus superhero films that don’t really need our help, so we limited ourselves to one or two of those.

Having been in the limelight since she was 17 with the Pirates of the Caribbean films, two-time Oscar nominee Keira Knightley said she has since ruled out returning to the franchise world.

“It’s a funny thing when you have something that was making and breaking you at the same time,” Knightley — whose fame was cemented at the height of the noughties with the initial trilogy and other fare like Atonement and Pride & Prejudice later on — told The Times of London in a new profile.

“I was seen as sh– because of them, and yet because they did so well I was given the opportunity to do the films that I ended up getting Oscar nominations for [Pride & Prejudice and The Imitation Game],” the Bend It Like Beckham star said. “They were the most successful films I’ll ever be a part of and they were the reason that I was taken down publicly.

Keira Knightley saw her level of fame increase when she appeared in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, but she has no interest in returning to that way of life.

The actress, who starred in multiple Pirates movies from 2003 to 2007, revealed why she will not sign on for another multiple-film franchise in an interview with the U.K.’s Times published on Saturday. Knightley shared that she has become more particular about her career choices after welcoming two daughters, Edie and Delilah, with her husband, James Righton.

“I couldn’t go job to job [abroad] now,” Knightley explained. “I wouldn’t be in any way fair to them, and I wouldn’t want to. I’ve chosen to have children, I want to bring them up, so I’ve had to take a major step back.”

The central aim of the spot is to warn voters of messages that seek to dissuade people from voting. Before the New Hampshire primary, a robocall deepfake of Joe Biden’s voice was sent to voters that tried to discourage them from casting a ballot.

Others likenesses featured in the spot include Laura Dern and Orlando Bloom, while the real Rosario Dawson and Jonathan Scott appear at the end.
