Earlier this year, we heard that Paul Dudbridge had directed a “period action thriller” called Fear the Invisible Man. That movie has since secured distribution, but a release date has not yet been announced. Since making Fear the Invisible Man, Dudbridge has moved on to directing another movie inspired by a classic horror tale. His latest film is called Frankenstein: Legacy, and 101 Films International is presenting it to potential distributors.

Screen Daily reports this morning that UK sales and distribution label 101 Films International has landed worldwide distribution rights for a gothic drama titled Frankenstein Legacy.

Unlike most Frankenstein films, it sounds like this one doesn’t focus on Victor Frankenstein and his Monster at all. Rather, it takes place many, many years After those events.

Directed by Paul Dudbridge (Fear The Invisible Man), the film is “set in an unruly England in 1875, a century after Victor Frankenstein’s failed creature creation. Graves are being torn up, and patients are disappearing from the local asylum. When one woman’s husband dies from suicide, she looks to Frankenstein’s journals for a way to bring him back.”

UK sales and distribution outfit 101 Films International has landed worldwide distribution rights for Frankenstein Legacy.

It’s been 16 years since Guy Ritchie’s London crime story, “Snatch,” first debuted in the U.S., and, while the black comedy pulled in a decent sum, its primary accomplishment was of a cult fandom (and earning Guy Ritchie a shot at the big time). With that in mind, I don’t feel too bad for only remembering a few key moments from a film built on a sharp wit and distinct characters:

Alan Ford’s thick, creepy glasses; Dennis Farina’s crass American foil to all those classy Brits; Jason Statham proving he can do more than just beat the hell out of his co-stars; the tragic fate of Benicio del Toro’s Franky Four Fingers; and, of course, the sole iconic element of Ritchie’s first major studio film (aside from ultra slo-mo fight scenes): Brad Pitt’s gibberish-spouting gypsy boxer with a devastating right hook,...

It’s already great to hear there’s going to be a series on the cult classic Snatch. It’s even better to see the wide array of actors Crackle signed on. But now a teaser trailer was just released… and wow, next week cannot come fast enough.

Crackle is set to release ten one-hour episodes of the new Snatch series next Thursday, March 16. Alex De Rakoff (who has previous experience with Grand Theft Auto) is directing the series – as well as wrote several of the episodes, and stars your childhood actors all grown up.

Completely unrecognizable from his Harry Potter past, Rupert Grint sheds Ron Weasley for Charlie Cavendis– and he looks good. "What if every step could be your last?" Well Go has debuted a trailer for an indie drama titled Mine, about a Us soldier stranded in the desert after his mission goes awry. I'm surprised we haven't heard about this film before? This is the first I've come across it at all. Armie Hammer stars as Mike, a Us soldier on an assassination mission in the Middle East. He ends up stranded standing on top of a mine in the desert for over two days, struggling to survive amidst the elements. The full cast includes Annabelle Wallis, Tom Cullen, Juliet Aubrey, Geoff Bell and Clint Dyer. This looks surprisingly quite good, not as bland or as cheesy as expected from the description.
