- Made a best-selling album with Mel Brooks called "2000 Years with Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks" which earned a Grammy Award nomination and ignited Carl's writing career.

- On his great friend Mel Brooks's 94th birthday, the two of them got together for a celebration, and this meeting was shared via photographs on social media. Sadly, Carl passed away the very next day.
