Morrow and I had one of the bad kinds of Date Night experiences – the one where your time together ends with the girl checking into the Betty Ford Clinic, or shaving her head and trying to be a monk. Amazing, however, that this could have been spurred by a movie that starred Steve Carell and Tina Fey, some of the funniest people in showbiz today. What went wrong? How could these naturally entertaining people make a movie that doesn’t remind us of this scientific fact?
Complete coverage of Date Night including interviews and reviews
Find out in this new episode of He Said – She Said, which is guaranteed to provide more freakouts and tears than ever before. I wonder if Morrow’s experience with Date Night has given her Stockholm Syndrome?

How does Michelle Obama measure up to the first ladies of the past? She towers over all of them, except one - Eleanor Roosevelt, who, just like Mrs. O, stood a fairly remarkable 5' 11". Mrs. Obama's height is but one of many facts offered in May's Condé Nast Traveler cover story, "Mrs. Obama's Washington: Why the First Lady Loves Her New Hometown." In it, she also admits to the frustrations of not being able to dip into a D.C. Tex-Mex joint for a bite without upsetting the other customers. "People are excited but ... ," she says about whenever the Obama motorcade descends.

What is the Tiger Woods Syndrome -- and does your significant other have it? Dr. R.A. Richards II talks to "The Insider" about why men cheat and the red flags women should recognize. Richards, who has studied interpersonal communications and co-dependency, has written The Tiger Woods Syndrome: Why Men Prowl and How to Not Become the Prey with Dr. J.R. Bruns, M.D. In stores now, the book seeks to uncover the cause of what it calls "our national epidemic of lying and cheating men" -- from superstar athletes, talk show hosts and politicians to middle managers and construction workers -- and teach how to identify "a five-stage pattern of duplicitous and misguided behavior." "[It's] a syndrome about relationships that are based on artificial intimacy," says Richards, singling out celebrities such as Tiger, John Edwards, David Letterman, Bill Clinton and Jesse James as fitting the bill. Although she receives the crowning accolade from her peers tonight, the great radical has had the worst of years following the death of her daughter
When Vanessa Redgrave receives her Bafta fellowship this evening from Prince William, it will be a moment rich in theatrical potential. First, there is the pathos: the great veteran actress, still vibrant at 73, bestowed with a crowning professional accolade one year on from the death of her daughter, Natasha Richardson, in a skiing accident.
Then the dramatic irony of the revolutionary Marxist accepting the award from a prince. And finally the dreadful tension: what will she say in her speech?
Redgrave does not boast the most tactful history of acceptance speeches. Four years ago, having been recognised for her lifetime's achievement by the Transylvania film festival, she dedicated the award to a group campaigning against a gold mine in Romania owned by one of the festival's sponsors.

Nicole Kidman may play many roles - actress, mother, wife - but for husband Keith Urban there's another that's equally important: muse. "It's been a profound impact [on my songwriting] to meet somebody who offered me a life and helped me become the person I wanted to be," Urban, 42, tells People Country for its March issue. As Urban tells it, sometimes Kidman's influence is literal. Take "My Heart Is Open," a track from his 2009 Defying Gravity album. "My wife and I had been out a couple of times and I wondered how she felt about me," he says, describing the song's inspiration. "It came out as,...

British-born film star known for her roles in Great Expectations and Spartacus
Jean Simmons, who has died aged 80, had a bounteous moment, early in her career, when she seemed the likely casting for every exotic or magical female role. It passed, as she got out of her teens, but then for the best part of 15 years, in Britain and America, she was a valued actress whose generally proper, if not patrician, manner had an intriguing way of conflicting with her large, saucy eyes and a mouth that began to turn up at the corners as she imagined mischief – or more than her movies had in their scripts. Even in the age of Vivien Leigh and Elizabeth Taylor, she was an authentic beauty. And there were always hints that the lady might be very sexy. Design guru Colin McAllister is dreading the boredom setting in once he is deprived of all his gadgets.
He says: “I might be bored, because I’m a 21st century guy. I rely on the telephone and television, my computer. We’re not going to have any of those things, which sounds fantastic but only if there’s something to replace them with. So as soon as I put all those technological things to one side I think, ‘Ok, I can sit and read a book’. But you don’t get a book in the jungle.”
He and partner Justin Ryan are the first celebrity couple to go into camp together. “Hopefully there’s a worth to that and the viewers won’t think, ‘Let’s split them up,’ because surely the experiment is about how a couple will actually behave and how they will interact with all the other people.

Hey, lesbians, wanna be on TV? Actually, do you wanna get real on TV? Well, more accurately, wanna get as real as you can get in Los Angeles in a production by The L Word impresario Ilene Chaiken on TV? See, there’s always a catch.
An open casting call has been posted for The Real L Word: Los Angeles, Mama Chaiken’s new Tlw reality spin-off. Magical Elves, the production company teaming with Chaiken and behind hits like Top Chef and Project Runway, did not return inquiries to confirm the item posted at Boxed Lunch, an L.A. lesbian site. But it is worded similarly to other known casting calls for the show making the rounds so it could be legit.
So what are Chaiken and her elves looking for? Per the casting call: “A group of real-life, high-profile, left coast lesbians” who are based in or moving to L.

Jeff Daniels seems to have done it all over his lengthy career, from blockbuster action ("Speed") to slapstick comedy ("Dumb and Dumber") to war epics ("Gettysburg") and indie dramas ("The Squid and the Whale"). If his screen work and raising a family didn't keep him busy enough, Daniels is also a playwright, a two-time feature director, a singer-songwriter and the founder of the Purple Rose Theatre Company (named after the Woody Allen film in which he starred) in his home state of Michigan. Currently, he's also been performing onstage in Broadway's "God of Carnage," for which he was recently awarded a Tony nomination.
In the movie world, though, Daniels can next be seen in the indie rom-com "The Answer Man" (formerly titled "Arlen Faber" at Sundance, sharing the name of his character). He plays a reclusive author whose chartbusting self-help book "Me and God" has been changing people's lives for 20 years,...

According to her calculations, Marlee Matlin was exactly 21 years and 218 days old the night in 1987 that she won the Best Leading Actress Academy Award for her role in Children of a Lesser God and had to convince Academy Award producers to let her interpreter on stage with her.
She took home a Golden Globe that year too, and she remains the youngest woman to ever win a leading lady Oscar.
But Matlin's rise to fame began much earlier: When she was seven-years-old, Matlin's teacher at the Center on Deafness and the Arts approached her about starring in their stage production of The Wizard of Oz. "Would you like to be Dorothy?" her teacher asked. Matlin's response: "I am Dorothy."
Not long after, she won a competition for her essay, "If I Was A Movie Star."

Matlin Heard Of Oscar Nomination In Rehab
Oscar winner Marlee Matlin was in rehab when she learned she had been nominated for an Academy Award.
The deaf actress checked into the Betty Ford Clinic in California, seeking help for a drug problem that was spiralling out of control - and it was while she was getting the help she needed that she was officially invited to the Oscars - as a nominee.
The Children of A Lesser God star recalls the moment she found out she'd be among the Oscar hopefuls in her new book I'll Scream Later and she tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "Of all places to be nominated, I was in the Betty Ford Clinic. I got a phone call and it was Jack, my interpreter, telling me that I was nominated."
Her 26 days in rehab set her up for a healthier life, even though most of her friends never thought she had much of a drug problem in the first place.
She recalls they tried to talk her out of a trip to the famous rehab facility - but she knew she had to go: "I could never stop thinking about drugs. If I didn't have a joint that day... I wouldn't be a happy person, if I didn't have my coke I wouldn't be a happy person. Nothing made me happy except the drugs. That's how bad it was. I could have easily smoked 20 joints a day."...

Matlin Talks Drugs, Sexual Abuse And William Hurt In New Memoir
Oscar winner Marlee Matlin opens up about the sexual abuse she suffered as a child and her turbulent relationship with actor William Hurt in a new autobiography.
In Scream Later, the 43-year-old deaf star reveals for the first time how a 16-year-old babysitter molested her when she was just 11 years old.
She writes, "Afterwards I ran into the bathroom. I wanted to throw up. I was drowning in that crush of emotions - fear, shame, anger, betrayal - molestation victims everywhere feel. My parents never found out."
Matlin blames the incident for her future drug addictions, claiming she first turned to marijuana as a teen to escape the pain of her abuse.
That later escalated, and she became addicted to cocaine, spending time in the famed Betty Ford clinic in California.
The star met William Hurt on the set of their 1986 movie Children of a Lesser God, and they began an intense relationship that she alleges eventually became abusive: "So many things about Bill were wonderful. But he worried that I was so young I would lose interest in him. Our fights were made far worse by his drinking and my drug use."
Both stars were Oscar nominated for their roles in the movie, but when Matlin won and Hurt didn't, she claims their relationship soured: "(He asked me) 'What makes you think you deserve it (the Oscar)?'"
She adds of Hurt, "I respect him as an actor. But if I saw him walk in the door now, I would probably run to the bathroom. We have no contact whatsoever."
The expose also tells of Matlin's relationships with actors Richard Dean Anderson, Rob Lowe and TV writer David E. Kelley.

Leary Stuns With Fashion Rocks Rant
Comedian Denis Leary stunned fans at the Fashion Rocks charity concert in New York on Friday by attacking Britney Spears, Ricky Martin and David Duchovny from the stage.
The Rescue Me star hosted the event which coincides with New York Fashion Week, and included performances from Beyoncé Knowles, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey and Rihanna.
And Leary left the crowd speechless with a foul-mouthed tirade, mocking Spears' recent breakdown; Martin's newborn twins; and ridiculing Duchovny's stint in rehab for sex addiction, reports the New York Daily News.
He told the audience, "Britney Spears will not be here tonight but we're gonna do a little Britney tribute later on. I'm gonna chug a bottle of NyQuil (cold medicine), do seven shots of vodka, shave my head and make out with members of the paparazzi and then I'm gonna leave my kids with Lil Wayne for about three and a half weeks.
"Ricky Martin will not be here tonight. He just had twins today. Surrogate mom. Yeah, they had to do it that way because babies don't come out of other men's asses.
"David Duchovny will not be here tonight. I think you know why. I don't really buy the sex addiction thing. Do you? If sex is an addiction, I might as well have my own wing at the Betty Ford Center."
All proceeds from the star-studded event will go to the Stand Up 2 Cancer charity.

Billy Joel has spoken about the trauma of going to the Betty Ford Centre. The singer checked in to the rehabilitation clinic in 2005 in a bid to kick his alcohol addiction, but found the experience akin to spending time in a "concentration camp". He told Details magazine: "I hated it. It was like a concentration camp - well, I can't say that, I've never been in a concentration camp. But for me, it was. "There's a lot of dogma that goes with it, and there's the whole AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) thing, and for a lot of people that works. (more)...

Urban Blames Paparazzi for Motorcycle Crash
Singer Keith Urban has blamed the paparazzi for causing him to fall off his motorcycle. The music star, who is married to Nicole Kidman, had been riding his bike in Sydney, Australia to an AA meeting on Monday, when the crash happened. He says, "Today's incident was the result of one person's desire to do his job and my desire to maintain my privacy. Some have already attempted to inflate the facts, but the reality is this; while out riding to an AA meeting, a time when my privacy is especially important to me, I felt myself being pursued. I sped up, and in an effort to elude an oncoming car, which was making an illegal U-turn, saw no choice but to drop my bike. In actual fact, my pursuer came to my assistance, without taking photos, and helped me from the road. I returned home, got my car, and continued on my way." Urban checked into the Betty Ford Clinic in California last year after confessing he'd relapsed in his efforts to beat alcoholism.

Lohan Upsets Rehab Residents
Lindsay Lohan has upset residents of the Los Angeles rehab facility she checked into earlier this month because they claim she's treating the facility like a hotel. The fellow troubled souls seeking counseling and solace at the Wonderland center are upset with Lohan's trips out of the facility - and the fact she's being allowed to continue working on her new movie while in rehab. The final straw reportedly came last week when the Mean Girls star took a break from rehab to have her Mercedes serviced and shop. Sources at Wonderland have aired their grievances to news website Tmz.com, claiming the actress is getting special treatment. They also tell the site Lohan has a masseur, hairstylist and makeup artist, who visit her regularly. But the actress' publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, insists Lohan is taking rehab seriously, and the criticism is unwarranted. She says, "Lindsay is 100 percent not getting special treatment. She's getting the same as everyone else. This isn't the Betty Ford Clinic, it's not a lockdown facility. There is personal time. All these naysayers who keep blogging and speaking out... they don't know what she's going through, they're not there. They shouldn't speak until they've gone through something like that."...

Urban Opens Up About Rehab Stint in Website Video
Troubled country star Keith Urban has opened his heart about his decision to enter a rehab facility to curb his alcoholism in a moving new video message. The candid footage, posted on his website, comes just a week after the Aussie singer confirmed he had completed treatment at the Betty Ford Clinic in California. In the video, Urban, who checked in to rehab last October after telling fans and friends he was struggling to stay sober, reveals, "There was no big, cataclysmic event that happened right before I went in. (Just) a lot of small things that were happening in my life, and a lot of small moments that were starting to accumulate that were telling me very loud and clear that I was a long way from my program of recovery, and they were making my life unmanageable." Urban admits the timing of his rehab stint couldn't have been worse: "It was far from an ideal time to go into treatment. While I was in there... I had my birthday... my record was released, I missed Thanksgiving, and all the holidays." The singer, who is married to actress Nicole Kidman, reveals he had planned a 30-day stay at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Springs, California, but his time there was extended. He explains, "Thirty days became 60, 60 days became 90, and, with each week that passed, I found myself really learning to surrender." Urban concludes the video with a special message to his wife, adding, "(She) stayed extraordinarily strong, and loving, and my friends and family were there. It's just been really overwhelming."...

Chevy Chase's Rehab Confession
Comedy legend Chevy Chase underwent rehab treatment for an addiction to painkillers, inspired by the public plight of former President's wife Betty Ford. The Fletch star visited the Betty Ford clinic in the 1980s after becoming hooked on painkilling drugs prescribed for back pain. He insists he would never had sought help had he not read about the treatment Ford underwent for alcoholism. Writing in the New York Times about former president Gerald Ford's death at Christmas at the age of 93, Chase says, "If it hadn't been for the courage of Mr Ford's wife, Betty, for admitting to an alcohol problem, I would never have received the help I needed. During my short stay there. I often saw Mrs. Ford personally surveying the clinic and generously offering a helping hand." After his stay Chase - who regularly impersonated President Ford on Saturday Night Live - became close friends with the First Couple.

Urban to Return to Rehab
Keith Urban's publicist has denied reports the country singer has finished rehabilitation, insisting he will resume treatment following his Christmas holiday with wife Nicole Kidman. Urban has been seeking treatment for alcohol abuse in the Betty Ford Center in Palm Springs, California since October , but took time out to spend the Yuletide season with Kidman in Sydney, Australia. The 39-year-old star's trip Down Under prompted reports he had finished rehab, but his publicist Paul Freundlich maintains Urban's battles are ongoing. Freundlich says, "Keith is on a leave in Australia to be with his family during the holidays. This is a natural occurrence at this point in his treatment. He will continue with his rehab upon his return." The Christmas visit is the first time Urban has visited Sydney since he wed Kidman in the harbor city in June .

Urban Still in Rehab
Country star Keith Urban's rehab release has been prematurely announced, according to his publicist. The singer checked himself into counseling sessions in October after confessing he'd relapsed into alcoholism and, despite reports to the contrary, he's still there. Reports of Urban's recovery and release came after he was spotted dining in Los Angeles with wife Nicole Kidman over the weekend. But his publicist, Paul Freundlich, is keen to confirm Urban is still fighting his demons at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Springs, California. In a statement, he reveals, "At this stage in (Keith's) treatment, patients are occasionally allowed to leave (rehab) for short periods of time. Keith is not out of rehab and is not back home in Nashville."...

Bar lamp off, but 'Kimmel' brighter
NEW YORK -- Jimmy Kimmel has a drinking problem. No, ABC's late-night contender hasn't checked into the Betty Ford Clinic, but Jimmy Kimmel Live's premiere-night fiasco when an audience member threw up after imbibing from an open bar continues to define the public's perception of the show, seven months after its post-Super Bowl debut Jan. 26. That frat-boy image is Kimmel's largest asset -- and biggest albatross. Despite the usual hiccups associated with most new late-night efforts, Kimmel has surprised critics and industry insiders alike with a 12:05 a.m. post-Nightline comedy/variety hour that has smoothed out many of its early rough edges and won the attention of advertisers seeking to reach the elusive males 18-34 audience. He has done so with a loosey-goosey attitude that promises viewers the potential for surprises around every corner. Where else would you see Mike Tyson as a co-host try to pick up a guest, former Miss USA Ali Landry? Or guest Kathy Griffin give 5-year-old co-host Lil Maxso -- billed as the world's youngest rapper -- death stares when he kept giggling as she tried to talk about her own extreme makeover.
