(2010) There were reports of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision's "Aerial"(Aasman) being launched. The cast was Sanjay Dutt,Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Sonal Chauhan,directed by Anthony D'Souza. John was upset with the announcement as he heard the script but did not okay his involvement. The project got shelved

(2008) Rajkumar Santoshi wanted to make film on Asghar Wajahat's play "Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahin". Starring Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan in Raj Kumar Santoshi's 'Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahin.'Sanjay Dutt and Vidya Balan as his wife. Salman Khan and Neil Nitin Mukesh were also signed. Art designer, Nitish Roy was building Lahore in Hyderabad now. Every lane, by-line, the transportation; the electric wires will be recreated. Extensive research on Lahore during the Partition era is done so that every detail is replicated. Later in 2012 the cast was changed and Pankaj Kapur,Manisha Koirala and Shahid Kapoor came into the project with Sanjay,Salman,Vidya, Neil all exiting. The film did not move any where. Then in 2014, Anil Kapoor,Armaan Jain were signed for the film. Again,the project just would not get off the ground. Then in 2015, Anil Kapoor exited the film and Randeep Hooda came into his role with Armaan Jain remaining in the film. The film was eventually called off due to unknown reasons.

(1987/1988) Starred in the shelved movie Neha Arts " Faisla". Starring Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Dutt, Anita Raj, Govinda,Aditya Pancholi, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, Written by K.K. Shukla,Music by Laxmikant Pyarelal,Produced by Nitin Manmohan,Directed by Mukul S.Anand. The film was put on hold to start "Mahasangraam" with another script.

(1986) Starred in the shelved movie P.M. Movies "Halaal Ki Kamai". Starring Sanjay Dutt,Mandakini, Sumeet Saigal, Produced by Mohan Singh Bagga. When the film got shelved,the producer started another film with the same name and different script and different star cast. Sumeet Saigal was signed for the original Halaal Ki Kamai and was moved into the second one that was announced. He was later replaced by Govinda. Swaroop Kumar was signed to direct the film.

(1979) All the scenes planned for Prakash Mehra's Zameen (Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Mohammed Ali,Zeenat Aman,Prem Nath) were present in Manoj Kumar's Kranti. This was due to writer Harbance Kumar stating he was inspired by the TV serial ROOTS. Salim Javed had also seen ROOTS and lifted several ideas from there and put them in Kranti. This upset Mehra severely. The film ended up being shelved . He attempted to restart the film with Sunil Dutt (Stepping into Prem Nath's role) and Sanjay Dutt in 1979/1980. Neelu Arora was in the running to be th3 lead actress. The film was scrapped due to Rocky being launched.

(1981) In the winter of 1981, Mukesh Bhatt had signed Kumar Gaurav and Sanjay Dutt for a film to be directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The music was to be composed by Ajit Singh. It was to be based on a career of a pop. singer. The project kept getting delayed for several reason's. Sanjay Dutt's scary behavior due to drugs was one.

Dutta revived the film under a new producer and launched Naveen Films "Choodiyan" with Bobby Deol, Tabu,Mamta Kulkarni,Anupam Kher. It was shelved once again.

Co Produced by Keshu Ramsay, Written and Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film was eventually made as " Family" (2006). Aryeman Ramsay stepped into Abhishek Bachchan's role and Akshay Kumar stepped into Sanjay Dutt's role.

(2003) Starred in Maruti Internationals untitled movie. Starring Sanjay Dutt and one more hero. Produced by Indra Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Directed by David Dhawan.

(2003 - 2005) Starred in the shelved film, Ramoji Rao's "Mahabharat" Two be made in 2 parts. Starring Amitabh Bachchan was to enact the role of Bhishma Pitamah, Sunny Deol was to be seen as Karan, Sanjay Dutt was to essay the role of Duryodhan, Ajay Devgan would have be seen in the role of Lord Krishna and Arjun Rampal was to play Arjun. Draupadi was to be essayed by Aishwarya Rai. Music by A.R. Rahman, Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

(2007) Shemaroo had planned a remake of "Padosan". They signed Sanjay Dutt for Kishore Kumar's role, Ritesh Deshmukh for Sunil Dutt's role and Govinda for Mehmood's role. Neeraj Vohra was to direct the film. The project never took off.
