“Shrinking” star Luke Tennie says the explosively physical scene in Episode 4between Jimmy (Jason Segel) and Sean (Tennie) was a moment production and ultimately viewers knew would happen sooner than later, adding that he conjured up the momentum in that scene from a casting note he received when he first auditioned for the role.

“It’s a moment we knew was coming because we hadn’t really seen it,” Tennie told TheWrap in an interview. “We saw Sean snap in Episode 1, Season 1, to protect somebody. There's the requisite creepy comments from Jules regarding, oh you know, her son, which goes so far as to actually have her (accidentally) touch a part of his body that kicks that Oedipal thing into hyperdrive.

Five seasons into Cougar Town, creator Bill Lawrence knows not to mess with something that works. And Cougar Town — in all of its wine-soaked, zany, fun glory — works.

Hulu has ordered a 10-episode second season of comedic half-hour western Quick Draw. The series from John Lehr and Nancy Hower joins Deadbeat and The Awesomes for Hulu’s 2014 originals slate. Co-creator and star Lehr returns as Harvard-educated Sheriff John Henry Hoyle, who uses his forensics expertise to solve crimes in a small Kansas town while trying to fit in with skeptical townspeople. Nick Brown, Allison Dunbar, Alexia Dox and Robert Clendenin also will be back for Season 2. Hower and Lehr exec produce along with Keith Raskin (Key & Peele, The League).The show is slated to premiere on Hulu and Hulu Plus in 2014.

The Hulu original series, "Quick Draw," is a half-hour procedural comedy set in the Old West. It has, however, something of a modern sensibility to it. In this exclusive clip from Monday's upcoming episode, we see that sensibility in a video for a "whiskey support group for not drinking whiskey."

Part of episode 5 -- available on Hulu starting on Monday (Aug. 26) -- the clip shows what happens when the good citizens of Great Bend, Kansas gather together for what they thought was a group for drinking whiskey. Alas, it seems that the Alcoholics Anonymous model isn't such a hit with the men (and woman) of the frontier.

Soon after Zach Braff’s Wish I Was Here reached its funding goal on Kickstarter, and even before the project was officially funded, Anna Kendrick was one of the first cast members added alongside Braff’s leading character, set to star as a Cosplay enthusiast / love interest for Braff’s brother, played by Josh Gad.

Now Braff has taken to Kickstarter to tell his pledges that Kendrick’s schedule unfortunately conflicts with the film’s shooting dates, thus forcing her to exit the project.

But he has good news as well, announcing that Ashley Greene has come on board in her place.

Perhaps best known for her role as Alice Cullen in The Twilight Saga, Braff notes that he’s known Greene for a couple of years now, emphasising that she’s every bit as hilarious as she is talented and beautiful, which is naturally encouraging with her character being a Cosplayer.

The actress will take over from her fellow Twilight Saga star in the Kickstarter-funded project.

Braff announced the swap to the campaign's backers.

Tom (Bob Clendenin) may never be a full-fledged member of the cul-de-sac crew on "Cougar Town," but for at least part of Season 4, he won't have to stand outside Jules' (Courteney Cox) window by himself.

The show, which is moving from ABC to TBS, has cast Ali Wentworth as a love interest for Tom. Wentworth tweeted a picture of herself on set on Monday (Aug. 27), and she also filmed her web series "Daily Shot" from downtown Gulfhaven, with "Cougar Town" star Busy Philipps as the guest.

Wentworth (who's married to "Good Morning America" anchor George Stephanopoulos) co-created and starred in "Head Case" for Starz and is maybe best known for playing Jerry's girlfriend in "The Soup Nazi" episode of "Seinfeld." She was also a frequent guest on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and was in the cast of "In Living Color" for several seasons in the early '90s.

Ali Wentworth is heading back to the small screen.

The actress - who is married to George Stephanopoulous and may always be remembered as Jerry's girlfriend on the classic Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld - will come on board Season 4 as a love interest for Bob Clendenin’s Tom.

The actress has not appeared on television since Head Case in 2009. No word yet on how many episodes she'll stick around for, but Wentworth Tweeted the following photo of herself on set this week:

So you may know how the third-season premiere of "Cougar Town" ended: with Grayson proposing to Jules in the most romantic Tp'ing ever.

But the journey is at least as important as the endpoint on this show. So even if you watched the preview video and read all the stories about its return, chances are you still may have found a lot to enjoy about "Ain't Love Strange." We know we did. In fact, as we watched, we came up with a dozen reasons to be glad "Cougar Town" is back on the air.

1. The proposal, obviously. It's not so much that Jules is predictable (although she is) as that Grayson knows her really, really well, and uses that knowledge to set up a lovely, sweet proposal that fits all of Jules' criteria. And yeah, the toilet paper actually did give the empty house's front yard a slightly fairy tale-like quality.

As a special treat for fans and new viewers, Cougar Town returns on Valentine’s Day with an especially fun episode that will make romantics at-heart swoon. The entire episode (aptly entitled “Ain’t Love Strange”) is a love letter. It is a warm-hearted ode to the fans that have watched for the prior two seasons, and an enticing invitation to new viewers to check out a show that has been saddled with a misleading moniker.

The running joke for the past two years has been to poke fun at the title of the show. Contrary to its name, the show offers a lively look at a charming group of friends who have become a family over the course of their lifetime adventures and who have welcomed a few more lonely neighbors and co-workers into their lives. While divorces tend to drive people away, the divorce of Jules and Bobby...

Why are Jules, Laurie and neighbor Tom huddled under a tree at night, dressed in black? You'll see when "Cougar Town" (finally) premieres on Valentine's Day.

We can tell you that they're on a secret mission, sparked by Grayson (Josh Hopkins) calling Jules (Courteney Cox) "predictable." We can also tell you there's toilet paper involved, and that Tom (Bob Clendenin) is more a part of the cul-de-sac crew in the show's third season -- although he's not really a full-fledged member of the group yet. Laurie (Busy Philipps), of course, is up for anything.

We can't really tell you, however, why Grayson is dressed as a police officer in this photo, since we don't want to spoil things.

It was only a matter of time before Sarah Chalke made her way on to the set of Cougar Town. Having starred in the Bill Lawrence created Scrubs for eight years; it makes sense that Lawrence would use her in his newest series. Chalke should feel right at home among series stars Courtney Cox and Christa Miller, both of whom appeared on Scrubs (Miller also happens to be Lawrence’s real life wife). Now what exactly will Chalke be doing once she arrives in Cougar Town?

According to TVLine, Chalke plays a photography professor at Travis’ (Dan Byrd) college whose name is Angie. She’ll appear in multiple episodes as a love interest for Bobby (Brian Van Holt). Angie is described as being of natural beauty and has a cool vibe. She’ll meet Bobby through Travis, and fingers crossed that Travis doesn’t have a weird student crush on her.

"Cougar Town" is gaining another cougar. "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke is joining the ABC comedy for a multi-episode story arc as a Bobby's (Brian Van Holt) lover. "Cougar Town" was co-created by "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence, and other actors from the latter have appeared on the former, including Ken Jenkins, Sam Lloyd and Robert Clendenin. 'Scrubs star' Sarah Chalke is headed to 'Cougar Town.' TVLine reports that Chalke will be joining the wine-soaked ABC comedy in a recurring role as Bobby's photography professor and love interest.

It's a reunion for Chalke and Bill Lawrence, the co-creator of both 'Scrubs' and 'Cougar Town.' Lawrence has steadily been recruiting 'Scrubs' actors for his new show -- so far he's nabbed Ken Jenkins, Sam Lloyd, Robert Clendenin, Zach Braff and Scott Foley to serve double-duty.

After a painfully long ten-week hiatus, ABC's hit comedy Cougar Town airs at a special time tonight, immediately after Dancing With The Stars at 9:30/8:30c, before it returns to its regular post-Modern Family time slot with a second new episode on Wednesday.

To those who have yet to watch, or who perhaps bailed on it during it's first few episodes, now is the perfect time to start watching Cougar Town.

Admittedly, the unfortunate title has confused some folks as to what the show is all about, and early episodes did focus on Jules getting back into the dating scene with a couple of fellows who were just slightly older than her son.

Since then, however, the show switched gears and has become a very funny story about a group of adults who have developed an unconventional family dynamic and like to drink wine. A lot.

This April Fool's Sony's Crackle is debuting Jailbait, an improvised comedy web series starring John Lehr (Cavemen, Ten Items or Less). In this fish-out-of-water story, Lehr plays Ozzie, a naive perpetual optimist who is serving nine months in prison after accidentally buying drugs in a sting operation. "The Closer" returns for the final five episodes of Season 6 on Monday night (Dec. 6). Star and recent Emmy winner Kyra Sedgwick tells Zap2it what viewers can look forward to, which includes her character Brenda continuing to explore her solitude.

"The unintentional theme of this year is the issue of her solitude, her aloneness," says Sedgwick. "She continues to be alone in the decisons that she makes and people continue to not agree with her. The whole Chief issue resulted in her feeling very alone in the world. I think that the loneliness was an unintentional theme of the year, but it really has emerged as a theme."

Chicago – The largely improvised “10 Items or Less” returns for a third trip to the grocery store on Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 on TBS with what looks like another hit-and-miss season of occasionally inspired humor surrounded by generally boring characters in an overall mediocre show.

More “Sorta Funny” than the one-time TBS slogan of “Very Funny,” “10 Items or Less” is a reasonable diversion, a series that has more chuckles than some of the lackluster comedies on television this season but never delivers on the potential displayed by its talented star, John Lehr. Like an improvisational troupe with only one real star, every time that Lehr leaves the screen, the show falls apart.
