Based on the manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, "One Piece" is still going strong after 25 years, becoming a cultural institution. And after all that time, the show is better than ever. The latest story arc, "Egghead Island Arc" even made it to our list of best anime of the year. There's never been a better time to be a "One Piece" fan, between the anime, the live-action show, and the upcoming Netflix animated remake. With still plenty of source material to go, it could be several years before we see the end of "One Piece."

Live from New York ... it's Broadway. Former Saturday Night Live writer Simon Rich has a new Broadway play, and he's brought in some of the show's biggest stars from past and present.

Rich spent four years as a writer on Saturday Night Live, joining the staff in 2007. He frequently collaborated with John Mulaney, writing elaborate premise-based sketches that often found their audience after "Weekend Update" when more experimental material got a chance to shine.

Now, Rich is taking his talents to broadway with All In: Comedy About Love. The play takes Rich's short stories about dating, marriage, and heartbreak and has some of his comedian friends read the stories out loud.

All In will run between December 18 and February 16 at the Hudson Theater in New York City. Performances will feature a rotating cast of four actors, several of whom have connections to Saturday Night Live.

As almost everyone knows, the show lost its way as it went on, though the exact point at which it jumped the proverbial shark remains a hotly debated topic among fans. Even taking the most conservative view, i.e. that "The Simpsons" was only really good from seasons 4 to 8, that's still five seasons of 22 to 24 episodes each to pick from — all of them classic entries.

ESPN, Disney, The Simpsons, and the NFL will premiere The Simpsons Funday Football on Monday, Dec. 9, an animated Monday Night Football game transformed in real-time into the iconic Simpsons world using Sony’s Beyond Sports Technology.

Atoms Stadium in Springfield will host the fully immersive fan viewing experience featuring the Cincinnati Bengals at the Dallas Cowboys, ESPN’s Monday Night Football game that evening.

The Simpsons Funday Football alternate viewing presentation will stream on Disney+ and ESPN+ and, on mobile, with NFL+. The traditional Monday Night Football telecast will be available on ESPN, ABC, and ESPN Deportes with Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli on ESPN2.

Both the traditional telecast and Peyton and Eli will also be on ESPN+, making each distinct presentation available in the ESPN App. All telecasts will begin at 8 p.m. Et.

When the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 9, you may be surprised to see some new players on the field in the form of Bart and Homer Simpson.

That’s because in addition to the regular “Monday Night Football” telecast, ESPN+ and Disney+ will be offering a live, animated recreation of the game with “The Simpsons Funday Football.”

The House of Mouse dropped a teaser for the state-of-the-art sporting experience during halftime of Monday’s game. While the clip only shows Bart siding with the Bengals and Homer backing the Cowboys, the December game promises many more appearances from Springfield — including Krusty, Nelson, Milhouse, Ralph, Carl, Barney, Lenny and Moe. After throwing characters from Marvel and Toy Story into its ongoing battle to lure young viewers to its increasingly expensive sports telecasts, Disney’s ESPN is really bringing in the big guns.

Characters from the long-running animated series “The Simpsons” will join a December 9th “Monday Night Football” game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys in an animated “alterna-cast” that will stream on Disney+, ESPN+ and NFL+ while the usual traditional broadcast airs on ESPN. In the kids’ version of the game, Bart Simpson will play at times for the Bengals and his father, Homer, will fight for the Cowboys, while sister Lisa and mother Marge will interview players while baby Maggie operates the sky-cam.

Longtime “Simpsons” voice actors Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner and Yeardley Smith will voice several of their characters in prerecorded bits and sketches.

The Walt Disney Co., the NFL and ESPN and teaming up to debut another animated alternative broadcast of an upcoming NFL game, but this time they are going big with “ESPN’s The Simpsons Funday Football.”

On Dec. 9, Disney+ and ESPN+ will stream the Dallas Cowboys-Cincinnati Bengals matchup, but it will take place in Springfield’s Atoms Stadium, with all the players replaced by dozens of animated characters based on those from the Fox and Disney+ series The Simpsons.

It will be the second year in a row that Disney+ will stream an animated version of an NFL game, but this year’s game will be bigger on multiple fronts: For starters, it is a Monday Night Football matchup, not a Sunday morning game like last year’s Toy Story game.

It takes place during that period where cell phones were becoming the norm, even among kids Bart's age, and bases its first act around Bart trying (and eventually succeeding) to get his hands on one. The fact that the cell phone's a flip phone immediately dates the episode, which is a shame because flip phones were very cool in the 2000s, and they allowed you to hang up angrily with dramatic, cinematic gusto. One of the questions asked was when, if ever, another Simpsons movie would be forthcoming, as there hasn’t been a theatrical adventure for Springfield’s first family since 2007. Groening joked that it’d be in “2042,” but Selman was a bit more revealing, explaining that another film is something that’s been discussed. While he cautioned that “this isn’t an announcement,” he did say, “There probably will be another Simpsons movie.”
