I believe one's opinions of a show are based on one's impressions before starting the first episode. When I decide to watch an anime, I make sure that my experience is as satisfactory as possible as I either start the first episode with an open mind or am super excited, hyping up every single minute detail (Like I did for JoJo's). However, I am biased, I like characters and often get attached to them to the point I can deal with an ok story or writing but it won't rank high on this list. But of course, I will give credit to good writing.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          If we ignore the last 5 or so shows on the list I pretty much enjoyed every anime I've watched, there is a chance though that I do regularly gaslight myself into liking a show just to make it worth my time. I just couldn't do that for Demon Slayer...
