To help her pilot brother, Maria disguises as a man to take his place, and must live in the jungle with a very "macho" captain, eventually falling in love.

While on vacation in Rio de Janeiro, the wife of a respectable Mexican physician becomes amnesic and ends up as a gangster's moll and entertainer at a night club.

Melitón Galván, moral example of his small village community and tutor to Rosaura, must often travel to the city because of his brother Paco, a drunker and troublemaker. Paco finds his own kind in Chabelo, who gets his allowance from his aunt Susana and they quickly become friends.

In the middle of the intrigues, the protagonist manages to enter the automotive Panamerican race, while Elsa learns the value of effort.

In Havana, gangster moll and singer Marucha, who has a disfigured face since childhood, is helped by a plastic surgeon who falls madly in love with her. The good doctor hopes to reform her and turn her into a good woman by transforming her face through surgeries. However Marucha, with her new beautiful face, has other plans and becomes "Piel Canela", a night club entertainer and highly payed prostitute on a side.
