- Young war veterans, Deutch and Swift, travel to the hometown of their fallen comrade Corporal Leonore Mazenet (Maz), to attend a memorial in her honour.
- A shy man confronts the boundaries of his identity as he takes a Salsa course while his older brother films him.
- Tomas and Sofia have lived in Montreal a long time, but Sofia is feeling nostalgic. One day they befriend another couple, Luisa and Mariano, recent arrivals here who are feeling adrift. In a moment of desperation, Luisa speaks longingly of the Charuflauta, an apparently curative procedure for the melancholy. Sofia convinces Tomas they should help Luisa and Mariano launch a local Charuflauta business together. Tomas is skeptical - he's the only one who can't remember what the Charuflauta is. Nevertheless, the four start up an agency dedicated to providing this mysterious service. When their first clients, another couple, call them up and actually request the fabled service, a poignant comedy of errors ensues.
- A concierge shows a tiny apartment to many urban types: a divorcee, an immigrant artist, a widower, a youth striking out on her own. Each one feels an immediate attachment to the place, and each one appeals to the concierge. But he is powerless to decide on anyone, including his own daughter. He humbly sends off each visitor's information to the owner, then waits. After many visits and still no decision, the concierge grows troubled. He goes to the owner, searching for an answer.
- Edgar, a travel writer, convinces his old friend Bill to make one last trip with him to a mysterious institute. Once there, Bill is put in great peril.
- A father and son set out on a trip to the Balmoral Art Institute. The father seeks a job for himself, but also hopes to convince the Institute's director to offer a residency to his son, an aspiring composer. Shortly after they arrive, the father must deal with competition from a strange, hostile man as his son, revolted by the Institute, leaves. That's when he turns to writing letters to his son to express his deepest thoughts. As the days and months go by and his time at the Institute drags on, he starts to lose his sense of identity. Federico Hidalgo's latest opus features his usual meticulous, cryptic narrative construction and signature sublime visuals along with striking sound design.
