In a small Spanish town, a nuclear bomb is expected to explode. All neighbors leave, except for thirteen people who gather in the church and, with the help of the pastor, will find that there is still a possibility of salvation.

Juan García is a modest employee with serious financial problems who, after trying to earn money in an honest way, finds that he gets nowhere, even, to make matters worse, he is even fired from his job. So, without a horizon, he is overwhelmed and decides to become an unscrupulous cheeky man. But in this life to be a scoundrel more conditions are needed than to be honest.
