Sherry Steine
As an urban and transportation planner for more than two decades, Sherry focuses on promoting performance-based goals and objectives, including defining research needs, guidance, training, planning methods, good practices, and technical assistance.
She has led several grant and research programs and white paper initiatives around innovative practices for incorporating myriad planning topics in the metropolitan transportation planning process. Sherry’s work includes managing an innovative park-and-ride study for the Virginia Department of Transportation (DOT), which included an interactive, web-based park-and-ride map for commuters.
Sherry delivers high levels of research with enthusiasm and ease. She also serves as the deputy project manager for the U.S. DOT Federal Highway Administration’s update on its Long Range Transportation Planning Guide as well as several transportation demand-management programs for the New York State DOT.
