Janette Koslover
I am a career guide. It is my profession, and has always been so since graduating in French and English from Leicester University.
I am passionate about London and its diversity.I enjoy showing first time visitors the major sites, but similarly relish opportunities to reveal "Hidden London". I also like to undertake themed tours, eg Food History ,Charles Dickens,or maybe a Medical History of London. Add to this that since London is constantly evolving, it is necessary to keep updated with new development(the Olympics have given us plenty on that front!) and I enjoy the challenge that this presents.
Apart from the stimulation London offers, it is invigorating to go into the countryside too, and I enjoy sharing the beauty of the  British countryside and its villages, its castles and cathedrals. My twitter feed (bbguidelondon) shows that I am not jaded in any way!
I work with many different types of client - from business individuals, families, to groups of senior citizens. Each type of client has different needs, but there are also constants; the need of the guide to listen as well as to impart, and a sense of capability, calm and kindness, along with a depth of information.A long time in this wonderful profession has shown me how important that all is. I feel privileged to work as a tourist guide, with the Blue Badge the badge of honour.
