the year is 2199, George R.R Martin has preserved his brain in a freezer and uploaded his consciousness in order to avoid death and continue procrastinating writing this book.
my great great grandchild raises me from the grave so I can read this book, and my ghost thoroughly enjoys it

Best thing I've read in a while :) Check Buzzfeed's 13 Hilarious Oarodies of your favourite books - it's brilliant.

I've started reading the series in 2013 and I read one book a year, hoping that the 6th book will be released by the time I finish the first five books... But nope
My brother is betting he made a deal with HBO not to publish The Winds of Winter untill after the full final season of Game of Thrones airs on tv.
I got an email this morning to preorder a George Martin book. I got very excited thinking it was this book finally and it was Clash of Kings being reissued I guess. What a let down!
All ye rabid fans (haven't read any of the books--came here to laugh at your suffering), say optimistic! By the time book 6 comes out, they'll probably come up with a way to lengthen life!
I feel we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the colonization of Mars before this book ever appears on Amazon.
I finished book five a few weeks ago intending to start on book 6 right away. But no. I thought it existed because I had checked here on Goodreads and there it was in the list, but 6. Suppose I should have clicked and checked it out. But really why have it listed?

I feel your pain, Bob, I’m 71. I plan to haunt GRRM.
