Six years ago, I went to my first and probably only San Diego Comic Con that I will ever have the pleasure of attending. It was just great timing of circumstance and some guts to take a week off and make my pilgrimage to the mecca of pop culture.
This first book I listed in my SDCC 2008 shelf I didn't actually bought at the convention but I did manage to accumulate a ton of books that brought me to precipice of excess baggage.
I never actually had the Transformers toys I wanted in my childhood but I guess this expansive guide would soothe that nagging feeling of emptiness an original 1984 Optimus Prime toy would have filled in my childhood.
This is a great guide and a valuable resource for collectors of this toy line. I may not have the toys on my shelf but leafing through this book helped assuage that empty feeling.

While not very practical as a price guide, this was a great trip down memory lane and a wonderful identification guide to some of those random Transformers in the box in the closet. Plus, the stats from the back of the boxes are given for each bot. Great fun.
