Om Swami shares six business principles in his latest book, The Heart of Success. He built a multi-million-dollar business at a very young age but becomes a monk. A monk who sold his Porsche is none another then Om Swami. This book starts with the anecdote when Akash (from publishing company) tries to convince the monk to write a book about business success. He thinks he is not qualified enough, but due to his stellar business career, he agreed somehow.
Om Swami shares six principles in the form of SACRED. He shares his first sale encounter; when he was seven years old, and how it changes his outlook. He talks about dreams and the difference between tangible objects and goals. Further, he shares different aspects of the approach and the anecdote of his work with the Australian government, which is very inspiring.
He teaches that no matter what your intentions are if you don't have a skill, you won't be able to do it. Which leads to a question, how will you acquire a skill? The answer is simple, be persistent. You have to work continuously because success requires discipline, mindfulness, and patience.
This book has different short stories to make the reader understand the basic principles of trade, as well as life. I knew a few stories already so for me, it was repetitive, but I am glad I came across this beautiful book. Thanks to my secret Santa. The book is fast-paced and written in an uncomplicated language. So everyone can feel the concept and adapts it. I enjoy reading this novel, and I know every reader will gain something from this book. So pick this one. I definitely recommend it.

The Heart of Success is yet another good piece of work by Om Swami ji. The way he elucidate every concept with examples and stories (especially stories based on Mulla Nassirudin) is applaudable, he makes it easier for the reader to easily grasp the concept.
Though it's a good book and inspires to a great extent but while reading it I felt like it is similar to his other works, the writing seemed a bit average. He is good writer and has an ability of keeping the reader engaged, so, as ardent fan I expect a bit more from his writing.

Just as in movies, we appreciate the combination of few Actor-Director and ensure that we watch their movies always without missing any of them, for readers, there are similar successful combination of Author-Publisher where we ensure that we don’t miss reading the book of an author if published by a specific publisher. One such combination I always love is of Jaico Publication and Author Om Swami. As I had begun reading spiritual books few years ago, there were many books of Om Swami that I went through and understood complex terms and philosophies easily with the help of his beautiful writing.
This time, Om Swami has done something different and come up with a book more on Business Principles than Spirituality which is something refreshing and exciting. To start with, the cover page of the book is so beautiful that I picked the book because of it and later got to know that it’s by one of my favorite authors. The name of the book is “The Heart Of Success” with the tagline of “6 Business Principles To Up Your Game”. As the author was once into the corporate world before he took up spirituality, he has practical experiences of the game and that is what he shares in this great book.
Author shares the six sacred principle where the initials of each alphabet in the word “SACRED” are used to define each point such as to implement the pointers in life- S for Self, A for Approach, C for Competence, R for Resources, E for Efforts and D for Destiny. Similarly, to implement in Business, the pointers are as follows: - S for Sales, A for Accounting, C for Customers, R for Returns, E for Energy and D for Determination. I will not discuss what author has described within each of these points but I must say it’s a distinct approach towards how we handle ourselves in life and business and how we can bring great change by applying a different process and approach.
Reading about how author himself dealt with challenges in getting few things accepted at the management level plus other stories and funny scenarios that are mentioned in the book makes it an interesting read rather than just pointers and bulleted points within them. Author makes you walk with him in his own journey and learn from the applications he made in his process. The book not only ends with this but also discusses “The Insanely Epic Model” where again a word is identified from the alphabets in the word “EPIC” to derive the pointers which can help us in becoming brave and epic such as E for Enthusiastic, P for Persistent, I for Independent and C for Clear.
Overall, the book teaches you in how to excel in your working style and life which is of great help with easier implementation. I give this book 4 stars out of 5. Looking forward from more such books from Om Swami.

This is my second read by Om Swami and i must say i love his writing style.
There are so many practical and real life examples in this book that it's very easy to understand the points.
The language is easy and the narrations captivating.
It was difficult to keep the book down, I just wanted to keep reading more. And that is very odd because usually you need to read nonfiction slowly to understand it properly.
The Heart of Success tells us about 6 business principles which will help us grow as an entrepreneur.
Called as the SACRED principle by Swamiji, this principle is useful in life as well as business.
Swamiji also gives us The Insanely EPIC Model in the end which i think can be used by every person in their day to day life.

Reading the book for the third time. Every time I read this book I feel that I have learnt something new. The way the SACRED principles were explained, it doesn't sound preachy and yet convey the message. Each principle is explained with some real life incidents. Thanks for this wonderful book.

Not sure why the actual book is not listed here and only the exclusive chapter is listed.
This book is not strictly a to do list but it lays down strong foundational principles that can be followed by anyone who is wanting to build a career in a company as on employee or entrepreneur.
It has some interesting anecdotes from swamiji's own life which make it clear that he speaks from personal experience. I liked this book very much.
It left me with an inspiration as to what kind of employee I should become, following the advices isn't easy though as it requires a lot of hardwork and dedication.
It is a mix of autobiography, Business and Mental health book and is a nice read overall.

Another great book by Om Swami. I am really a fan of this man. When you read his books, you will feel how they are written from pure heart. This is the first book by the author on achieving materialistic success. Although there are numerous books on this topic but what separates this book is the author's personal touch in almost every page of the book. The author beautifully described the principles with his own experiences. I found the book very engrossing and life transformative when applied. A book you should definitely give a read and maybe more than once.

If you are going to read only one book in life about success than I would recommend that you pick this book. Highly recommended. Very crisply written by a multi million dollar businessman turned to an enlightened monk. Unlike the modern day so called spiritual gurus who enjoy cult like status amongst their followers this guy is simple, talks straight and bares down every thing as it is. I have read three other books by omswami and they too were very brilliant. But since they were on spiritual side I would recommend people to start with this book. My personal rating is 5/5.

Wow how good virtual voice has become - this was the first book I listened to and I forgot often that this is not an actual person reading it. So a new era has come - they can now just generate audiobooks out of paper books. Cool.
As for the book - nothing too special. Talks about his history in tech. “Everything you do in life is selling, even proposing, and try to Outlast the competition with service and patience. Because a good product is presumed, so You must offer MORE. And just intention doesn't mean anything - but you also have to have competence and skill to deliver on it”.

The framework- a set of six principles- which if upended diligently, will lead you to such circumstances where the grand universe will bow before you and make way for you to achieve your desired and deserved success, at whatever scale that may be.
One of the most illuminating books I have ever read.

If you have read any of Om Swami’s book then you would love it as usual. If you haven’t read any of his books, then it will make you fall in love with his explanation.
It is a very simple, easily understandable and very informative book. I have thoroughly enjoyed the book and am looking forward for one more of his books.

I like the books of Om Swami. His writing is not very preachy yet it provides the philosophical aspect to key questions. He gives 6 business principles along with real-world examples, and they all make sense to me. Some of the anecdotes are taken from his own experiences which made me connect and identify with questions of my own.
Overall, a great book. Must read for everyone.

Short, succinct, and mind-bogglingly precise, this book cuts to the heart of the matter. I will most likely re-read it every now and then and be able to glean new lessons from it.

Amazon book with great examples
This is a great book and has a lot of examples that you can understand and relate to. You would eventually learn how to implement the advice in real life. Om Swami is the author for non fictional books that I have been addicted to. I am surprised I got so engrossed in reading this book and completed it within three days. Definitely recommend it.

Nice book to read, though it is profound in some places, pedantic and preachy in others. The reader will certainly go back with some wisdom and life lessons whichever chapter they read, nonetheless.

Enjoyed reading and in middle, Om Swami - The Author, explains basic principles that we can follow and cultivate in order to be successful in this world. Total of 180 pages is likes 180 guides to be what we are and find the true purpose of what we are up to in life.
Once we find clarity about what we need to do, everything will be easy and it will followby discipline. If I can say about this book in a single word, I'd say, "Mindset!!!"

Good book to read!!! The authors makes use of the business principles and sacred principles.
I haven’t read other books of the author but based on the feedback of his other books, I am sure his other books would be much better to read. The author often to express his one point has gone around to explain and fill in just pages.
