That's because this isn't a site for reading books; it's for discussing them and rating them. If you want to read books, best head to your local library.

I mean, there is YA, sci-fi, horror, literary fiction... all are very different, for very different audiences, and it's... really a bit of a mixed bag. I've only read two on the whole list (one I loved and one I hated), have one on my TBR, and I'm only contemplating adding "Number One Chinese Restaurant" to the list because 1.) Lisa See gave it five stars, and 2.) the synopsis reminded me a bit of "Pachinko" by Min Jin Lee.

Thank you. Don't believe that is on my TBR. I've never read her.

And The Outsiders, why make a mystery novel when you already know the monster is supernatural?
