On Thursday, Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz paired his gold lamé runway looks with a leather tote that quite possibly could have doubled for a Hefty CinchSak.
Elbaz's bags are pretty out there, but he's not the only designer who is challenging us to try something new.

Oh, and what about the time when Karl Lagerfeld introduced the hula-hoop bag?
Even if the bags aren't your bag, I do think there's something to be said for breaking out of a style rut and trying something different. What's the biggest fashion risk you've taken lately?
