Kerethant Ref - Monster Competition 2nd place!
Here's definitely something that slipped my mind to post! Back in October, a site I used to go on a lot (Wolf-Haven) held a creative competition. The goal was to design a monster and spend a certain amount of words either describing how it worked or it's backstory.
For mine, I redesigned my older Hellhound character, Kerethant, into an unstable parasitic werewolf! Infecting hosts with what would appear to be normal lycanthropy, Kerethant would slowly take over the host as their appearance became more like him. However, due to Kerethant's inability to stabilize their host after a period of time, the host would *continue* to evolve as a werewolf until it was unsustainable. At which point, Kerethant would infect a new victim. The whole idea was SUPER fun to come up with and I really liked the result!
After the competition ended, I won 2nd place! WOO!
