SKOWHEGAN - The former superintendent of the Anson-Madison Water District has been indicted by the Somerset County Grand Jury.

Michael Corson, 55, of Madison  and another former employee were accused of removing old water lines belonging to the water district and selling them to a scrap metal dealer.

Somerset County Sheriff Dale Lancaster says the men allegedly did not transfer the money back to the water district .

Lancaster says it allegedly happened 21 times between March and October of 2021.

Just before Corson's trial was about to begin in March the theft charge against him was dropped

The Grand Jury indicted him for aggravated criminal invasion of computer privacy.
