English Honestly, this is already my umpteenth story where there is regression and even a "collision with truck-kun" (or a plane crash, you know...), so it doesn't seem that strange to me. Unfortunately, out of all these stories, Elise is the most boring. Essentially, it's a step back several years, when these villainess isekais started and didn't quite grasp the potential that this subgenre offers. Maybe it's just a weak adaptation because the source material is really well-rated, but it was boring and the heroine quite flat, yet everyone still loved her... well, I understand, why not admire a talented person, right? But that was all Elise had. No other dimension ever came, so she became boring. Besides, the animation was so weak that it offended me. Do the creators really think they can animate a popular manhwa and everyone will be amazed, even if it's poorly done? One simply cannot simp for a single character. And if you don't have that with villainess isekai, then it's just a waste of time. You need a good and strong story, and that... well, Elise doesn't have that either. For me, it was unfortunately a waste of time. I like these stories, but the execution really disappointed me. But for curiosity's sake... why not give it a go, eh? ()

English Isekai and time travel themes (regression) are all the rage in anime lately, but this series' blend of the two left me more puzzled than intrigued. Despite my immense respect for doctors, especially surgeons,  Doctor Elise just didn't quite grab me. At times, it felt like a medical mystery à la House M.D., with the creators unafraid to dive into surgical scenes. It's clear the original authors have a solid grasp of medical knowledge. However, even with all this, the series failed to fully capture my interest, especially in a season where a similar girl also used past-life knowledge in the seventh time loop, and also dabbled in romance with a prince, and waded into the intrigues of the local nobility. Unlike Elise, this other series had more oomph, looked visually stunning, and its characters were more endearing to me. I just couldn't help comparing the two (perhaps unfairly to some, but it made sense to me). While Gekai Elise is a decent series, it doesn't quite hit the 4-star mark for me. 6.3/10 ()
