Inter Milan keen to muscle in on Man United and Chelsea target Samuel Eto'o
INTER MILAN are thought to be keen to scupper Manchester United and Chelsea to re-sign Samuel Eto'o.
The Anzhi forward, who is available at £5m, is thought to be holding face-to-face talks soon with Chelsea and United who have expressed a strong interest in him.
Anzhi are desperate to slash their costs, with £30m rated Willian also heading for the exit door with Spurs the likely destination.
According to Italian paper Tuttosport, Inter are continuing to monitor the situation.
The paper goes on to claim they are trying to persuade Eto'o to accept a two-year deal worth £2.1m.
Mourinho's top target is Wayne Rooney, with Chelsea seeing the latest of their two bids worth £25m rejected by the defending Premier League champions.
Though the Portuguese tactician has been buoyed by Eto'o's recent comments in which he said he would like to re-unite with Inter, Mourinho has been tight-lipped about the Cameroonian.
Speaking at a press conference, Mourinho said: "We have a plan B and a plan C! Don't ask me names, because it's difficult to speak about players from other clubs."
Chelsea entertain Aston Villa tomorrow evening.
