Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho and owner Daniel Levy have been blasted by former Spurs striker Les Ferdinand for a "naive" transfer mistake, in not choosing to sign a new striker in January, following the long-term injuries to Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho should have signed another striker in the January transfer window, according to former Spurs forward Les Ferdinand. The club have been caught short with no fit first-team strikers, after injuries to both Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Spurs were forced to use Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn as makeshift centre-forwards in last weekend’s match against Chelsea.
Mourinho’s side rarely threatened Chelsea’s goal, and were gifted a late consolation in the 2-1 defeat, courtesy of an Antonio Rudiger own goal.
Following the 1-0 home loss to RB Leipzig in the Champions League last week, Mourinho claimed that he was proud of his players, given their circumstances.
But, Ferdinand has claimed that the club should have expected this eventuality.

“But unfortunately he’s got injured and now it seems a little naive.”
Son was ruled out for “a number of weeks” by the club earlier this month, following an injury against Aston Villa.
The South Korea international fractured his arm in the 3-2 win at Villa Park, but Mourinho doesn’t expect the forward to return this season.
Mourinho said at the time: “The situation couldn’t be worse. That is obvious.
