Corrie: Jack Webster makes a joke about his amputated leg
Coronation Street's Jack Webster, portrayed by Kyran Bowes, has grown up significantly since his early days on the soap.
The character, who was once a beloved youngster, is now a teenager and looks quite different from his younger self.
Fans of the show will recall that Jack is the offspring of Kevin Webster (played by Michael Le Vell) and Molly (portrayed by Vicky Binns), conceived during an affair while Kevin was married to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor). At the time, Molly was also involved with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).
Jack was born in 2010, but tragically, Molly died on the cobbles that same year after she and her son were trapped in a shop following a horrific tram crash on the street. Tyrone initially believed he was Jack's father.
The truth eventually emerged, and Jack now resides with Kevin and Abi Franklin (Sally Carman). Over the years, Jack has been central to several major storylines, including kidnapping and a recent shocking arrest.
In a particularly poignant storyline in 2018, Jack developed sepsis and had to have part of his leg amputated. However, in reality, actor Kyran did not undergo an amputation, reports the Mirror.
Instead, the soap utilised Hollywood-style green-screen technology to digitally erase Jack's lower leg using a special sock.
The character of Jack in the long-running series has seen a few actors step into the role, with Kyran assuming the mantle in 2016 after twins Maddox and Jaxon Beswick, and Kyran's transformation since joining is striking.
