Donald Trump's plane declares mid-air emergency with JD Vance onboard
Trump Force Two declared an emergency mid-flight with JD Vance onboard and has been forced to divert.
Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance's campaign plane has been forced to make an emergency landing in Milwaukee, after an aircraft "malfunction."
Trump Force Two was en route to Cincinnati from Milwaukee when it was forced to return to Mitchell International Airport, after the pilot advised there was a malfunction with the door seal.
"After declaring an emergency, Trump Force Two returned to Milwaukee. As soon as the issue was resolved, the plane returned to its originally planned flight path back to Cincinnati," Vance campaign spokesperson Taylor Van Kirk said.
According to airport officials, the Boeing 737 charter aircraft, returned to the airport around 1:30 pm local time.
The plane landed normally and taxied without incident.

Last week, Donald Trump's plane was en route to Bozeman, Montana, when it was diverted to Billings, 142 miles to the east, because of a mechanical issue.
The former president continued to Bozeman via private jet.
Earlier on Friday, Vance spoke at the Milwaukee Police Association.
He was asked if Trump should instead focus more on policy than making pointed criticism of foes, such as Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
“I don’t think the president needs to pivot, and if I told him that, I can guess what he’d say,” Vance said.
“I think that the reason that President Trump has been so successful connecting with Americans is, even when they disagree with something that he might say, they know that he just is who he is."
Much of Vance’s remarks focused on Harris’ record on crime, saying her policies make the job of police officers “harder” and that the vice president is “trying to redefine her record as a tough on crime prosecutor."
