King Frederik and Queen Mary are celebrating 20 years of marriage today as they embark on a two-day state visit to Norway.
King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark are marking a very special milestone today as they celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
Frederik and Mary married on May 14 2004 at Copenhagen Cathedral. The bride stunned in an ivory wedding dress created by Danish fashion designer Uffe Frank with a veil first used by Crown Princess Margareta of Sweden, and then by her daughter Queen Ingrid of Denmark.
But while the Danish royal couple may choose to also mark the moment in private, they are set for two days packed full of engagements as they embark on a state visit - their second trip abroad since Frederik's ascension to the throne in January - to Norway.
Frederik and Mary are currently travelling by sea on the Royal Ship Dannebrog and will arrive later in the day in Oslo, where they will be welcomed in an official ceremony.
The Danish Royal House released a snap of the duo on the ship to mark the special day.

The Danish couple's state visit will see them reunite with King Harald V and Queen Sonja as well as Norway's heir, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit - who they have a friendly relationship with. Frederik was Haakon's best man at his wedding in 2001, while Haakon is a godfather to their son, Crown Prince Christian.
Today, after the official welcoming ceremony, Frederik and Mary will have a meeting with the Norwegian president, Masud Gharahkhani, at the royal palace before attending a wreath-laying service at Akershus Fortress to commemorate victims of the Second World War.
They will also visit Oslo's Science City and MiNaLab, where they will meet researchers and representatives of the Danish and Norwegian businesses.
The day will end with a gala dinner at the royal palace hosted by the Norwegian King and Queen.
