Ivy plant
Ivy, also known as Hedera, is an evergreen, woody climber which can grow to a height of 30m. The ivy plant is native to Western Europe, Central Europe, Southern Europe, Macaronesia, northwestern Africa and across central-southern Asia east to Japan and Taiwan.
There are two native species of ivy in the UK: Hedera helix and Hedera hibernica, both species can climb and can become invasive.
