Beloved TV duo Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan are preparing for a reunion, years after their last joint venture. The pair, who tied the knot in 1986, have been household names for decades, co-hosting This Morning and their own show, Richard and Judy.

While Judy has since stepped back from the limelight, Richard continues to present Good Morning Britain. However, it seems the couple may be planning a new project together.

The pair could soon be launching their own line of underwear, having trademarked their name for the sale of various goods including fragrances, cosmetics, and other merchandise. The Intellectual Property Office published the application this week.

The couple first trademarked 'Richard and Judy' in 2000 and re-applied in December of the previous year.

This move may have been inspired by an infamous incident at the National Television Awards in 2000, when Judy accidentally revealed her bra. "Judy's bra flash was perhaps one of the outstanding moments of their career and may have inspired the couple to consider underwear as an option - and clearly they still think so," said an insider, as reported by the Mirror.

"But it's not the only product they'll be able to put their name on and they could make a mint."

Richard and Judy first crossed paths in 1982 while working on different shows for Granada Television. At the time, both were married to other people.

"I thought he looked nice. Tall, handsome and all that but I thought the suit was a bit flash. Then, because he was a newbie, I was assigned the job of looking after him," Judy once shared with The Mirror about her initial impression of Richard.

The pair eventually divorced their respective partners and tied the knot four years later in Manchester. Richard confessed to having multiple affairs during his first marriage.

He was just 21 when he wed Lynda Hooley, and has since admitted that the marriage was a mistake and he found fidelity challenging.

Discussing the number of women he was involved with during his six-year marriage, Richard previously revealed to the Mirror: "Oh lots, numerous, probably in the space of about five years, about 10."

He added: "Although the marriage had some very happy moments, there was a lot of negativity in it. I'm not using that as an excuse. It's wrong to have affairs, but I was a very young man."

Richard enjoyed a blissful union with wife Judy, and together they have their daughter Chloe. Recently, the younger Madeley shared insights into her domestic world, including how she manages co-parenting with former spouse James Haskell.

Delving into tougher times, Chloe was probed about the enduring success of her parents' marriage. With a touch of humour, Chloe quipped, "The secret to them having such a long marriage is to not get divorced!"

She elaborated in her conversation with Closer Magazine: "They've been together over 40 years and during that time there have been periods where they really struggled, but they kept going and stayed together. I don't think it was ever bad enough for them to split."
