They're certainly the most popular headphones of the past half-decade. These things have been everyone's favorite gadgets since I was in college. I remember, when it was a Thing to walk around with the original AirPods headphones They were a bit of a status symbol, very similar to how the AirPods Max are a status symbol now. Anyway, there are plenty of reasons to get AirPods. Maybe you lost yours. Maybe they were stolen by a family member. Maybe... you never had a pair at all. In which case, welcome, friend.
If you're looking to make the AirPod plunge—or just want to snag a new pair for a discount after the holidays put some strain on your bank account—buying your AirPods on sale will make the whole experience a bit less painful. These are luxury items, after all, and the prices reflect that. Thankfully, Jeff Bezos and his Amazon corporation have you covered. The retailer we all love to hate is offering AirPods at discounts near to what we were seeing for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, so even I can't find fault with it at the moment. The best deal is on the AirPods Pro, which are 24 percent off retail right now. If there were ever a time to buy, it would be right now.
When Apple dropped these, it really sealed its chokehold on the personal audio world. Almost everyone I see out in the world is wearing a pair of these things. Wireless charging (or updated USB-C charging, effective noise cancelling, and a more secure fit—Apple really made the perfect earbud. Anytime they dip under $200, is a great price to find them.
The AirPods Max need no introduction at this point. They're the coolest and most practical headphones on the market for Apple users, hands-down. It's rare to score them on sale, so don't do that thing where you wait and then regret it later.
How are these really different from the other Plain Jane AirPods, you ask. Well, Apple gave upgrades to the driver and amplifier for music that sounds clearer and bigger. We know this isn't a huge discount, but it's still something to spend your discount on.
