No lies here—Tell Me Lies has a release date.
Season two of the Hulu drama series will premiere Sept. 4 with two episodes, the streamer announced in a statement to E! News July 19.
The show depicts the relationship between college students Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) over the course of eight years. Hulu said season two "expands deeper into the lives of Lucy and Stephen’s friend group" in the aftermath of their summer breakup.
"It's definitely still Lucy and Stephen at the core. They're definitely the through line of the show," Tell Me Lies creator Meghan Oppenheimer told People. "But my intention going into this show, even from season one was: What are the repercussions within a friend group from one central set of lies?"
Along with Van Patten and White—who are a couple IRL—The show will see the return of cast members such as Sonia Mena as Pippa, Cat Missal as Bree and Spencer House as Wrigley.
New characters are also introduced. Thomas Doherty, previously seen on the Gossip Girl reboot and as Harry Hook in Disney's Descendants movies, plays Leo, a new love interest for Lucy.
One of several sneak peek photos of the new season that Hulu released depicts the two in an intimate moment.
In addition, Lucifer alum Tom Ellis, who married Oppenheimer in 2019, will make his debut on Tell Me Lies as Oliver, a Baird College professor. The character, his wife told People, adds a level of maturity to the show "because he's 45, and having him against these kids, you remember how young they are."

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (Netflix) - Sept. 19
Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s true-crime anthology series returns with Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, chronicling the case of the real-life brothers who were convicted in 1996 for the murders of their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez.
While the prosecution argued they were seeking to inherit their family fortune, the brothers claimed - and remain adamant to this day, as they serve life sentences without the possibility of parole - that their actions stemmed out of fear from a lifetime of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of their parents.
Frasier (Paramount+) - Sept. 19
Frasier's sophomore season will see Dr. Frasier Crane return to his radio roots at KACL in Seattle for an episode. The episode will feature previously announced guest stars stepping back into their roles from the original Frasier including Dan Butler as Bob "Bulldog" Briscoe, Edward Hibbert as Gil Chesterton and Harriet Sansom Harris as Frasier’s delightfully devilish agent, Bebe Glazer.
Rescue: HI-Surf (Fox) - Sept. 22
