Semi-intensive

The General English Semi-intensive course is 25 or 27 (UK) lessons in the morning or the afternoon plus one or two extra lesson per day (e.g. functional language/pronunciation/writing/authentic listening/speaking and discussion) The additional lesson builds on language from the main sessions with a focus on a particular area e.g. writing or functional English for real-life situations.

The General English programme develops your English language and communication skills, giving you the confidence and ability to function in everyday situations. Through a communicative approach, you will practise your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. With General English Semi-Intensive Courses, there are also many opportunities to learn these skills in a variety of ‘real-life’ situations. 

English Path offers six levels of General English courses from Beginner to Advanced. Our Beginner level class accepts students with very little exposure to English. Lower level students may also choose to increase their progress by taking additional 1-1 classes. In contrast, our Advanced General English class is for students with high level communicative skills. Some students may also consider an intensive course to accelerate their learning or go on to study an examination preparation course.  For those students who would like more time to explore the city in which they’re studying, we recommend the 'Classic 20' or 'Semi-intensive 25' course." 

By the end of your General English Semi-intensive at English Path, you should:

• have improved your listening, reading and writing skills
• be able to speak with more confidence and fluency
• have developed your vocabulary knowledge
• have a better understanding of English grammatical structures
• have a greater knowledge of useful functional language needed in everyday real-life situations

In order to get as much as possible out of your learning experience, you must attend atleast 80% of classes, complete all homework given and do self-study as directed by your teacher.

General English Super Intensive 

The General English Super Intensive programme develops your English language and communication skills, giving you the confidence and ability to function in everyday situations. Through a communicative approach, you will practise your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. There are also many opportunities to learn these skills in a variety of ‘real-life’ situations. You will also be able to improve your pronunciation and develop your grammar and vocabulary range from a General English Super Intensive 40 Course.

For those students who would like more time to explore the city in which they’re studying, we recommend the General English 20 lessons or Semi-Intensive 25 lessons courses.

After you take a General English Super Intensive 40 at English Path, you should:

Course overview

The General English programme is designed to help you develop your English language and communication skills, giving you the confidence and ability to function in everyday situations. You will practise your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through a communicative approach with the help of our experienced and qualified teachers. You will have multiple opportunities to learn and practise your English language skills in a variety of 'real-life' situations around campus and through our social programme. You will also be able to improve your pronunciation and develop your grammar and vocabulary range.
