If you are heading to Disney World in April, we have an important update about EPCOT that you will want to be aware of!
EPCOT will have adjusted operating hours due to the runDisney Springtime Surprise Race, and we don’t want you to be caught by surprise.
EPCOT won’t open until 10 AM on Sunday, April 6th, 2025. Early entry for Disney World hotel guests will begin at 9:30 AM. This is likely due to the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, which takes place between April 3rd and April 6th.
On April 6th, the 10-miler will be taking place and will result in numerous road closures across Walt Disney World and a later opening time for EPCOT. Since it is the longest distance, it will take runners the longest to finish. It is common to see operating hours for EPCOT be adjusted on runDisney race weekends, and we will be seeing it again this Spring.
On runDisney race weekends, you will want to be prepared for road closures around Disney World. You can view maps online closer to the races to see which roads will be closed. However, even if you aren’t traveling on a closed road, be prepared for additional traffic and allow extra time to get where you need to be.
Also, make sure you check park hours in the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date information. Stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney World news!
