Mayor TenHaken delivers 2025 budget address, highlighting growth and city investments

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken presented his proposed 2025 budget and an overview of the Capital Program with the City Council on Thursday afternoon.

The $781 million proposal includes investments in infrastructure, addressing the city’s rapid growth and housing.

The Capital Spending Plan totals $1.1 billion, the second year in a row the city has seen a plan exceed the $1 billion mark.

This year’s plan follows a trend that prioritizes growth and looking ahead to future development in the city.

More than seventy percent of the operating and capital expenses are spent on infrastructure and public safety investments.
