SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - South Dakota Trade announced Thursday that they will be taking South Dakota business to East Asia.

The group has partnered with South Dakota Biotech to host a trade mission to Taiwan and Japan in June.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses at one of five trade shows in Taipei to expedite sales opportunities.

“East Asia is where a lot of the population is growing, incomes are rising, and so that means there’s more opportunity to buy products and services that are maybe at a higher price point, or a value at its base, where we can be successful as a country that really invests in innovation and those kinds of things. The focus will be on biotech, which includes both agtech as well as food tech, but other things, as well, during that trade delegation,” said Luke Lindberg, president and CEO of SD Trade.
