Inside Out 2 Riley actor Kensington Tallman reveals the unseen emotion she hopes will be explored should a third movie ever be announced. After Kaitlyn Dias starred as the eleven-year-old Riley in the original 2015 movie, Tallman took on the role of a thirteen-year-old Riley as she faces the trials and tribulations of high school in the 2024 sequel. Tallman's performance of the character sees her grapple with forming her "sense of self" amid new friend groups, opportunities, and a clash between her old emotions and four new personifications.
With Screen Rant attending D23 and able to sit down with Tallman for an interview, the star shared what emotion she would like to explore if she was able to take her character further in a third Inside Out movie. Tallman stated that she would love to see an emotion that personified "goofyness" after Inside Out 2 highlighted the importance of allowing light-hearted fun when growing and due to it being a feeling that would resonate most with her.
