Three Cameroonians nabbed in KL over counterfeit money ring

Three Cameroonian men were arrested in Kuala Lumpur during operations against a currency counterfeiting operation.  Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said the suspects, aged 36 to 49, are believed to be the ringleaders of the operation. 00:24one fake money making syndicate

00:27through the arrest of three Cameroon men

00:32aged 36 to 49 years old.

00:38These three men are believed to be in the main syndicate.

01:243 plastic wrappers,

01:271 bottle of gum,

01:291 pair of scissors,

01:311 ruler,

01:341 tape measure,

01:364 passports,

01:38a car named Toyota Vios.

01:41We can't go in there.

01:44All those detained are being questioned

01:47until 28 August 2024.

01:51The case is being investigated under Section 489B of the Penal Code.

01:56The investigation so far has found

01:58that one of the three detainees

02:00entered Malaysia on 28 July 2024

02:04using a passport,

02:06but two other individuals

02:08were found to not have a valid travel record.

02:13The investigation also revealed that

02:15this syndicate has been initiating

02:17fake money transactions

02:19since last July

02:21with the aim of being sold

02:23to interested buyers.

02:26So fortunately we were able to intercept,

02:28if not, a lot of money

02:30was generated

02:31because it had a block and so on.
