Video highlights recorded at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum, SVBM, Lothalmond near Dunfermline featuring a number of preserved vintage bus vehicles. I had an amazing time viewing and riding a number of buses from across Scotland now preserved which were showcased at the weekend event.

Every year at Lathalmond they hold an open weekend twice a year at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum.

A frequent service operating between the SVBM and Dunfermline including an internal short run service taking place between the main Exhibition Hall, Sheds containing model stalls and the Bus garage workshops and train line.

The museum usually also provides visitors with the opportunity to visit the Forth Bridges while sat in the comfort of one of many vintage bus vehicles promising to offer great views.

In addition to being able to ride on the vehicles there are also a large number of static bus displays where you can view and take photographs of.

If you are interested in preserved bus I would recommend taking a look at some of the amazing work being undertaken right now to restore more vehicles as they become available for preservation. Some of the most well known groups include the Lothian Bus Consortium Trust, Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust, Scotbus based in Cupar Fife, Taybus Vintage Vehicle Society based in Dundee, Gifford Transport Group based in East Lothian and many others.

To create this video I captured as many shots as I had time to shoot then edited them together in a nice montage to showcase the variety of buses on display. This was the first time I had ever visited the site and certainly a place I'd like to return to in future.

A number of buses feature in this video which include the following:

SJ18 NFA Lothian Buses Volvo B5TL Wright Gemini 3
Edinburgh Corporation JSC 900E 900 Leyland Atlantean PDR2/1 Alexander J
OFS 798 Leyland Titan PD2/20 Metro-Cammell Weymann Orion
A108 CFS Leyland National 2 Lothian Regional Transport
