00:03 - Hi, Katina, how are you?
00:04 - Hi, I'm good, how are you?
00:05 - I'm good, I'm so excited to chat with you.
00:08 So I have to say, Raquel is a mother, a boss,
00:11 an all around leader and mildly terrifying.
00:14 (laughing)
00:16 What is one thing you've learned from her
00:19 and what is one thing you might wanna teach her?
00:21 Like a little piece of advice.
00:23 Let's start with one thing you've learned from her.
00:26 - I think one thing I've learned from her
00:28 is how to take up space and use my voice.
00:31 And I think to own who I am
00:35 and really not back down from that.
00:38 And to question, I think it's okay to question things.
00:41 I think it's also okay to expect greatness from others.
00:46 Do you know what I mean?
00:47 And I think it's a really wonderful thing.
00:50 She's really taught me to use my voice
00:52 in a more specific and a bit like a really big way.
00:56 And being in a business like how we're in,
00:59 we're taught to be a certain way
01:03 or maybe you don't speak up in situations.
01:06 But now in this day and age, it's all about speaking up.
01:09 And so for me, I feel so confident
01:12 and so empowered to walk in my truth.
01:15 - Yeah, I'm gonna go into the office tomorrow
01:18 and Raquel my way through the day then.
01:20 - Look, look, I'm telling you, come on.
01:24 - And I don't mean murder.
01:25 Just in case-- - Minus the murder.
01:26 Minus the murder and manipulation and all of that.
01:30 Okay, minus that, the other thing.
01:32 - You know, I did ask Tony this,
01:34 but if you had to pick out of his character
01:37 and your character, who would survive on an island?
01:40 Who do you think would make it?
01:42 - Tony probably, I think his character Stefano is like,
01:49 yeah, no, he probably could do it.
01:50 He got like the fascination with the fish going on.
01:53 He has the fact, like he's gonna eat clearly.
01:56 I feel like he's like a person that could handle it.
01:59 But then again, I'm thinking they both
02:02 could survive on an island.
02:03 - Yeah, I picked you.
02:05 Just-- - You picked me, yes.
02:06 - Yeah, more than 50%. - 'Cause at the end of the day,
02:07 she's gonna make it work.
02:09 I think they both-- - I was like,
02:09 Stefano is swimming with the fishes, sorry.
02:13 - Right, right, hello.
02:15 - So you have a new love interest.
02:17 And if you had to write Raquel's dating profile,
02:22 what would it be?
02:23 Would it be like long walks on the beach,
02:25 murder that's not messy?
02:26 How would you write it?
02:28 - Well, he would have to love his family.
02:35 Family is very, very big for her.
02:38 Ambition is another one.
02:39 If you don't have any ambition, then you're not,
02:42 it's not happening.
02:43 You gotta make money.
02:44 You have to have your own business.
02:45 She loves a person that she's not gonna have
02:48 to take care of.
02:49 She does a lot of that in her life already.
02:52 She doesn't do a lot of laughing all the time.
02:55 So someone who can make her laugh,
02:56 someone who is light.
02:58 She loves experiencing things that she never experienced.
03:03 So maybe someone who, I don't know,
03:08 maybe a comedian, maybe someone with a talent
03:13 that isn't killing people.
03:14 - Just a little less murder.
03:18 - Just a little less murder.
03:19 Honestly, just a regular person.
03:21 Someone who's just regular, simple, chill,
03:24 isn't, you know, doesn't really have any feelings
03:29 about ambitious women.
03:30 I think.
03:31 - And I think she just put, good luck to you.
03:34 I can do everything.
03:35 And with one hand.
03:37 You had to do a love scene with one arm.
03:39 (laughing)
03:42 So multi-talented, I gotta tell you.
03:44 Okay, last question here.
03:48 If there was a, is there any chance
03:51 there'll be a Raising Canaan musical episode?
03:54 - Well, I will tell you.
03:58 So it's not a secret, but we have very,
04:01 we have a pretty musical cast.
04:05 Like it's pretty crazy the amount of musicians
04:09 and artists that we have on our show.
04:10 So, you know, maybe we talk to the creators.
04:14 I'm down.
04:15 You know, I could see Rock.
04:17 She owns the studio anyway.
04:19 So, you know, I could see her doing something,
04:23 wanting to connect with Jukebox in a way.
04:25 We'll see.
04:26 You never know.
04:27 - I would love one.
04:28 Okay, and I like, one more question.
04:30 Bettina, as you look back on your career and at this show,
04:33 what is one piece of advice
04:35 that you would give your younger self?
04:37 - Normally I would have said, like, calm down.
04:41 It's gonna all be okay.
04:43 It's all gonna happen the way it's supposed to happen.
04:45 But I do think because I had such grit
04:48 and because I wanted it more than anything
04:50 and because I really focused on everything,
04:52 I was really hyper-focused and really just like,
04:55 this is what I want for myself.
04:56 I'm not gonna let anyone tell me I can't do it.
04:59 All of those things,
05:01 they're what propelled me to where I am today.
05:04 Yeah, that like it could all be over tomorrow type mindset.
05:08 So it's kind of like helped me in my journey.
05:10 But I think I would tell her to be kind to herself,
05:14 be more kind.
05:15 - I love that.
05:16 - You know, just a little bit more kind to yourself.
05:18 - Bettina, thank you so much.
05:19 And here's to Raquel doing things with one arm
05:22 and maybe a little less murder.
05:23 - Come on, I love it.
