00:04 A source close to the 29-year-old actor tells AXS Hollywood that the two have split after

00:18 News of their separation comes two months after the pair marked their first wedding
00:22 anniversary.
00:23 But before they reached the milestone, the pair shut down split rumors after they were
00:27 spotted without their wedding rings.
00:30 At the time, Sam's rep denied any speculation that they were on the rocks, telling AXS Hollywood
00:35 there were no "marital issues" and that he'd merely taken his wedding ring off because
00:39 he was filming a movie.
00:41 Now AXS Hollywood is looking back at their relationship, from their first meeting in
00:46 2016 on the set of Britney's music video for "Slumber Party" to their June 2022 wedding.

01:07 It's Britney Spears dancing to Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" with another guy who's not
01:11 her husband, Sam Asghari.
01:13 The two have been on a sexy Mexican getaway.
01:16 In Britney's playful Instagram videos, the duo also posed affectionately on a private
01:21 jet.
01:22 While it may seem something romantic is going on, the mystery man is actually Britney's
01:25 longtime agent and best friend, Kate Hudson.
01:29 Their friendship goes back over 10 years.
01:31 "We're gonna get a hot guy and bring him up here."
01:34 He even brought him on stage for her Las Vegas residency back in 2015 during this racy dominatrix-themed
01:39 performance.
01:40 "Oh baby, baby, oh, what's up, suppose?"
01:44 While on their vacation, Britney's not wearing her wedding ring in the videos, and rumors
01:48 there's trouble in her marriage were further fueled 1,200 miles away in LA where husband
01:53 Sam was also caught without his wedding band.
01:56 But last night, Sam shared this photo of himself on a plane with his ring prominently showing.
02:01 And Asghari's rep says there are no marital issues, Sam simply took off his ring because
02:06 he's filming a movie.
02:07 "I have to wear this thing now."
02:09 For Sam Asghari, marrying Britney Spears was worth the wait.
02:13 Just three weeks after marrying the iconic pop star, the 28-year-old actor opened up
02:18 to Good Morning America about their wedding day, revealing the big day couldn't come soon
02:22 enough.
02:23 "You know, it's just surreal, man.
02:26 It's been a minute, it was way overdue for us, and we imagined this thing being a fairy
02:30 tale and it was.
02:31 And we only had like 50 to 70 people.
02:33 We wanted to just celebrate, and that's what we did."
02:37 Britney and Sam tied the knot on June 9th in an intimate ceremony at the bride's home
02:41 in Thousand Oaks, California.
02:43 And so far, according to her hubby, they're loving married life.
02:47 But Sam still can't believe it finally happened.
02:49 "She's amazing.
02:50 She's doing great.
02:51 She's my wife."
02:52 "What does that feel like, to be like, 'She's my wife'?"
02:57 "It hasn't hit me yet.
02:58 You know, I'm not like, it hasn't, the husband thing hasn't hit me yet."
03:02 Besides now being a husband, Sam is also establishing himself on the big screen, as he just recently
03:08 worked alongside Mel Gibson for the new movie Hot Seat.
03:11 The upcoming actor shared with GMA what it feels like to develop his acting career, while
03:15 being by Britney's side.
03:17 "I didn't really get noticed until, you know, my wife give me like this amazing platform
03:23 to work with.
03:24 So I'm always appreciated of that.
03:26 But let's not take away from the fact that I've been working hard and I was already acting.
03:30 I don't take any opportunity that I have as for granted.
03:35 And I really try to stay positive with everything that's happening."
03:39 As Sam makes his own way in the entertainment industry, he admitted that he does draw inspiration

03:46 "Just being in a relationship with someone that has achieved so much, so many great things
03:51 and at such a young age, kind of gives me the understanding and teaches me so much for

04:12 I want to be able to make my children or my future children happy.

04:18 I want to be like my dad.'
04:19 At the end of my life, I want to be able to have a great career.
04:23 But more importantly, I want people to look up to me, my loved ones, my children, my wife,

04:37 The couple tied the knot in a romantic evening at Britney's L.A. home on Thursday.
04:41 The intimate ceremony was full of drapery, pink flowers, and over-the-top chandeliers,
04:46 as the pop singer and her now-husband said "I do" in front of a massive flower wall.
04:51 The bride wore a custom off-the-shoulder Donatello Versace gown with a slit in the leg and cathedral-length
04:56 veil.
04:57 She accented the dress with a pair of gloves and a choker, while Sam looked stapper in
05:01 a black tuxedo.
05:02 Britney has two diamond wedding bands, and an invitation to the ceremony says it was
05:06 an unplugged wedding, with guests being asked to check their phones in upon arrival.

05:32 a kiss with longtime friend Madonna, recreating their iconic 2003 VMA moment.
