Twenty-four Tasmanian restaurants were awarded chef hats this year.
Taste. By Bold Cuisine owner and head chef Simon Bold said the team was both humbled and excited to be awarded one chef hat on the 2025 list.
Taste, in Rooke Street, has only been open for two years but has also picked up a 'one glass' award for the Australian Wine List of the Year.
"This is the pinnacle for any chef in Australia, and it is so rewarding to be able to do this cooking the food that I love, in a small intimate setting," Mr Bold said.
"We, as a team are so excited that we were able to achieve this here on the coast".
Restaurants to receive a hat were notified on January 17.
Each year, the Good Food Guide's chef hats are awarded to restaurants around Australia.
Only one per cent make the grade.
